Our second ERC meeting for 2026 is happening tomorrow 👋🌱

On Wednesday 13 May, FGM’s Environment Review Committee will meet again with regulators, local government and community representatives to discuss environmental performance, current projects and upcoming priorities across site.

The ERC is an important way we stay connected with the community and keep conversations open around our operations and environmental management.

There was a great atmosphere at Central Deborah Gold Mine recently as we brought together organisations involved in the Agnico Eagle Australia Community Partnership Program (CPP).

FGM General Manager, Luke Krois, joined partners on the night, recognising the important work being done across the region and the impact these organisations are having in the community.

The evening was a chance to share ideas, hear about the work happening locally, and talk about how organisations can continue supporting each other and the community.

We also heard from Bendigo Health , La Trobe University, Bendigo Regional Pathways Program, MADCOW Australia and The Old Church on the Hill, who shared insights into their programs and the people behind them.

It was great to see so many people in one room, all working towards making a positive difference in the community 👏

Big congratulations to the team at Bridgewater Primary School 👏

The small regional school recently placed second in the 2026 Bendigo Sports Star Awards Healthy Schools Award, proudly supported by Fosterville Gold Mine with FGM Community Advisor, Leigh, visiting the school to present the award.

From daily breakfast programs and healthy lunches, to river swimming, outdoor learning and local sporting partnerships, the school is creating incredible opportunities for students to stay active, connected and supported.

The Bendigo Region Women’s Shed is creating a space for connection, learning and support, and it’s something pretty special to see.

With the help of a Fosterville Gold Mine Community Grant, a simple addition like a TV screen is now helping bring important conversations to life, from health and wellbeing to planning for the future.

It’s a great example of how small things can have a big impact.

As the weather starts to cool down, it’s a timely reminder that not everyone has a warm place to go at the end of the day.

The Bendigo Winter Night Shelter Inc. is back for 2026, continuing the important work it’s been doing since 2019, providing a hot meal, a safe bed and a friendly face for those doing it tough across the winter months.

At Fosterville Gold Mine, we’re proud to support this initiative and encourage our community to get involved whether that’s lending a hand, sharing a meal, or simply being there for someone who needs it.
