We scroll every day — but how often do we pause to check in with ourselves?

“Beyond the Screen” is a transformative workshop inviting students to explore the emotional impact of social media, build healthier coping strategies, and reconnect in a safe, supportive space.

The session is led by Natalia Vega, a psychologist with over five years of experience supporting children, young people, and families in high-stress contexts, bringing real-world insight into digital wellbeing.

Our last speaker for Topics in Psychology Part V is here!

Matthew Whoolery is a psychology professor at AUBG whose work bridges cultural psychology and non-Western approaches to the mind.

In his talk, “The Original Yogic Tradition,” he will explore how modern yoga often overlooks two vital paths from the Bhagavad Gita: Karma Yoga (selfless action) and Bhakti Yoga (love and devotion). By contrasting these relational traditions with Western psychology’s individualistic focus, he reveals how yogic wisdom can reshape how we understand connection, purpose, and well-being.
