Carter Eastis and Catherine
Barson are based in Atlanta and are best known for their costume duos of "Cake and Cube" from the video game, Portal, and their medieval interpretations of Batman and Catwoman. Carter holds a BA of General Studies from Georgia Southern University in Technical Theatre, Jewelry Art & Sculpture, and Marketing/IT. He possesses a wide variety of skills including carpentry, casting and enameling, and welding. Carter has worked for a number of local theaters, as well as a Design Assistant and Props Builder for Opera Holland Park, London UK during the summers of 2010-2012. His medieval interpretation of the character Batman won the award for best fantasy costume at the Dragon*con Masquerade in 2011, and is also featured in the "Last Dragon*con" music video on Dragon*conTV. Catherine has been sewing since she realized the only costume items she liked at renaissance festivals were out of her budget. Her specialties include draping, doll-making, painting, simple embroidery, costume design and graphic arts. She also sings, song-writes, and plays guitar, doumbek and bodhran for the steampunk band, The Gin Rebellion (http://theginrebellion.com/home). CUSTOM WORK:
