ONE POWERFUL IMPACT: A huge thank you to the FirstEnergy Foundation team for their generous 2026 Grant donation to the Shippensburg Produce and Outreach Food Pantry!
This $15 thousand donation directly supports our weekly food distribution, helping us feed over 2,700 pantry-registered children, adults, and seniors within the Greater Shippensburg across both Cumberland and Franklin Counties. We’re so grateful to have partners like FirstEnergy Foundation in our corner who share our passion for fighting hunger and recognize the dedication of our volunteers.
This local grant is part of a massive regional push during : the FirstEnergy Foundation is rolling out a $5 million initiative supporting 140 hunger-relief organizations across FirstEnergy’s six-state service territory and Washington, D.C.
Right here in Pennsylvania, it is making its largest investment in hunger relief to date, awarding $1.2 million to 37 Pennsylvania food banks and pantries expected to help put over 3.6 million meals on local tables. These are in communities served by FirstEnergy Pennsylvania Electric Company (FE PA) – a FirstEnergy Corp. (NYSE: FE) company known locally as Penn Power, Penelec, Met-Ed or West Penn Power!
