IEEE Cyprus Entrepreneurs Network (EN) is a volunteer based effort to gather all Electrical and Computers Engineers in Cyprus as well as other professionals in fields designated by IEEE who are interested in entrepreneurship in order to get networked. IEEE Cyprus Entrepreneurs Network (EN) is a volunteer based effort that aims to trigger entrepreneurship in Cyprus and help people interested in it
to get networked and find valuable team members in order to create technological start-ups. More specifically it intends to bring together IEEE members and other professionals (non-members who are working or who are educated in an IEEE designated field – which are all fields of Engineering, Computer Sciences and Information Technology, Physical Sciences, Biological and Medical Sciences, Mathematics, Technical Communications, Education, Management, Law and Policy) in order to cooperate with electrical and electronic engineers in Cyprus and abroad, so that they come up with an innovative product or service that can be exploited commercially. IEEE Cyprus EN was established in January 2013 is one of the four IEEE Entrepreneurs Networks globally, it has helped in the establishment of IEEE Karachi EN in Pakistan in April 2014 and is the first and only Entrepreneurs Network in IEEE Region 8, which comprises Europe, the Middle East and North Africa. Main goals:
• Cooperation and start-ups may come up by this interaction.
• Regular talks by entrepreneurship related experts are arranged.
• Workshops and days of training are organised.
• Continuous support is provided to interested entrepreneurs / future entrepreneurs.
• TechMatch event is run on a regular basis and awards are given to the best business plans submitted.
