Blackhawk Fun Fact of the day.

This is an example of hidden wind damage..... & and to an insurance company should be considered the exact same as a missing shingle.

A creased tab (granular loss at the very top of the shingle where it bent when it blew up from wind) that’s pulled a chunk out of the bottom Shingle. Often referred to as “mat transfer” which is not necessarily a covered peril.

 So a better term is..... wind caused cohesive failure of the shingle matting & laminate strip...... which is now a covered peril under your homeowners insurance policy.

This is a discontinued shingle and so just a few of these are going to get this homeowner a brand new premium slate look comp shingle from their insurance company
