We’ve been so busy with our rammed earth projects that we haven’t had much time to dedicate to developing our various earth products. These sun dried bricks made with earth and palm kernels is just one of products we hope to launch very soon.

Rammed Earth Workshop Highlight

A few weeks ago we hosted a rammed earth workshop at our studio studio space in Accra.
We had 22 participants from 9 countries around the globe.
The aim of the workshop was to build a rammed earth wall and to also demonstrate how to instal electrical and plumbing into it.
We spilt our participants into 2 groups where they were taught how to put together their own formwork, create a mix and compact their walls.
Both walls turned out great however there were some inaccuracies in both walls, such as too much water in the mix or formwork not being straight.
The aim of the workshop wasn’t to have perfect walls at the end, because in real life on a construction site these problems do come up, this was an opportunity to learn what to do in case these issues arise.
Overall we had a great time hosting our workshop, we built community, networked and ate amazing food on both days.
We will be hosting another workshop really soon.
