Ion Beam Milling will re-open at 1:00 P.M. today. Employees who are scheduled to work have the option of coming in and working their scheduled shifts or using Vacation/Personal time.

According to the NWS, this afternoon into tomorrow looks to be very dicey weather. As a result, Ion Beam Milling will be closed until at least 12:00 noon tomorrow, February 13. At noon, we will post a new update and will continue to post hourly updates after that. As a reminder, per the company handbook, all employees will be paid during the shutdown event, however once the shutdown is declared over, employees have 30 minutes to make it into the facility after which the paid time off will cease and employees will have the option to use personal and/or vacation time if they choose not to come in.

At the present time, we expect this weather event to impact the day shift only. We anticipate that the night shift will be able to work their scheduled hours, but if the weather event extends beyond the time currently forecast, then the night shift may feel some impact as well. Updates will be posted hourly beginning at 12:00 noon until the facility is declared open again.

folks - as of right now, we don't know what tomorrow's weather is going to look like. As a precaution, I'm going to delay opening the facility until 9:00 tomorrow morning. That said, if the weather is not that bad tomorrow and a manger or supervisor can make it in before that time, you are free to come in. If I'm informed of an early start tomorrow, I'll post it here. You are also welcome to call in the morning to see if anyone has arrived.

As a reminder, Ion Beam Milling will not be paying for missed work tomorrow. All employees have vacation and personal time that can be used. Please use good judgement tomorrow and only come in when and if its safe to do so.

Due to the extent of the storm, Ion Beam Milling will be closed today, February 2, 2015. We will resume operations tomorrow morning.

Due to the Snow Storm, Ion Beam Milling is planning to open at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, February 2. This is subject to change depending on the weather. The next update will be posted at 9:00 A.M. Eastern Time on Monday, February 2.
