Back at our South End brownstone renovation, where thoughtful design and functionality go hand in hand.

In historic renovations, every square inch matters. While updating the mechanical systems in this residence, we wanted to incorporate a tankless water heater without compromising the integrity or flow of the space.

By utilizing an area hidden behind the original pocket doors, we were able to create a concealed utility closet that seamlessly integrates into the home. The result is a clean, efficient solution that preserves valuable living space while modernizing the home’s infrastructure.

It’s details like these that make brownstone renovations so rewarding- finding creative ways to blend historic character with modern performance.

SOUTH END BROWNSTONE | OFFICE SPACE

A space designed with intention.

One of the key requests for this home was to create a dedicated office- somewhere the client could step away, focus, and feel inspired.

In collaboration with Meyvn Studio, this room became an opportunity to layer texture, tone, and thoughtful detail:

– Arte wallcovering adding depth and character
– Farrow & Ball paint creating a soft, timeless palette
– Custom window treatments by The Shade Store framing the natural light
– Elevated styling that brings warmth and balance to the space

Newbury Street, elevated.

Out on the front balcony of our penthouse project the panoramic views of Boston that speak for themselves.

We’re opening this space up with brand new, taller sliding glass doors, bringing in an incredible amount of natural light and completely transforming the feel of the unit.

On the exterior, the full facade is coming down. In its place, we’re reimagining a timeless Newbury Street presence with a custom copper facade. Classic, refined, and built to last.

This one is going to be special.

Back at our Newbury Street project which is now fully demoed and moving through framing.

Our Site Supervisor, Kevin, breaks down a key structural component: a custom flitch beam using triple 12” LVLs with 1/4” steel plates.

Engineered for strength, precision, and long-term performance this is what supports the entire vision.

Newbury Street, reimagined.

In collaboration with Path Place Architecture and Polly Lewis Interiors, this condo transformation is all about thoughtful design and elevated living.

A redesigned mezzanine, expanded primary suite, and a seamless flow throughout the space are setting the foundation for what’s to come.

Custom kitchen and wet bar underway.

SOUTH END BROWNSTONE | KITCHEN

Where structure, light, and detail come together.

At this South End brownstone, the kitchen was completely reimagined opening up the space and introducing a level of materiality that feels both elevated and intentional.

– Custom millwork in collaboration with Metropolitan Cabinets
– Micro shaker cabinetry for a refined, timeless profile
– Mont Tremblant quartzite bringing natural movement and depth
– Venetian plaster hood creating a soft, sculptural focal point
– A new 10’ slider replacing two existing windows framing light and connection to the outdoors
– Structural steel beam added to make it all possible
– Direct access to a newly built balcony off the kitchen

The result is a space that feels open, layered, and incredibly functional while still respecting the integrity of the original brownstone.

SOUTH END BROWNSTONE | LIVING ROOM

Where history anchors the space and craftsmanship carries it forward.

At the heart of this South End brownstone, the living room was designed to honor the original architecture while introducing refined, modern detail.

– Original fireplace stone dating back to the mid–late 1800s
– Custom built-in millwork by Metropolitan Cabinets, flanking the fireplace
– Stone surfaces by Onyx, adding depth and contrast
– Original plaster crown moulding profile preserved and carried seamlessly throughout
– Crown detail thoughtfully extended into the millwork for a cohesive, intentional finish

Every decision in this room was rooted in respect for the past while elevating how the space lives today.

SOUTH END BROWNSTONE | POWDER ROOM MOMENT

A space where we broke the rules in the best way.

Tucked into the first floor of this South End brownstone, this powder room was our opportunity to step outside the historical constraints and create something bold, elevated, and unexpected.

Designed in collaboration with Meyvn Studio, every detail was intentional:

– Floor-to-ceiling tile wrapping seamlessly into the flooring
– A floating stone sink, custom fabricated and installed by
– Full-height mirror behind the vanity, expanding light and depth
– Statement lighting that transforms the entire mood of the space
– European-style tilt-and-turn window bringing in natural light

In a home rooted in history, this room became a moment of contrast—
modern, expressive, and unapologetically refined.

Proof that even the smallest spaces can make the biggest statement.
