My first time at MasterTech EXPO. It was a good chance to step into the world of car audio.

We’re all engineers working with sound, but the environment there is quite specific, and the context very different. Learned a couple of things.

I ran a workshop on Open Sound Meter, focusing on practical tuning workflows and real-time measurement approaches. Thanks to everyone who joined the session and asked questions.

Also talked with engineers who stopped by my small booth about Open Sound Meter and Ehren.DSP. I was showing a working Raspberry Pi-based setup of Ehren.DSP, which got a lot of attention.

Big thanks to Andy Wehmeyer for the invitation and support. Hope to be back.

And yes — I’m not gonna lie, spending a few days around powerful and loud custom cars felt pretty good, guys!

Open Sound Meter is heading to MasterTech EXPO — a top-tier U.S. event dedicated to car audio, tuning and custom builds 🚗🔊

March 12-15, Mesa Convention Center — Mesa, Arizona, USA

Pavel will be there presenting Open Sound Meter and our new project Ehren.DSP, demonstrating how our tools can be used for precise audio measurement and system alignment.

On Sunday, March 15 at 9:45am (Conference Theater), Pavel will run a 90-minute workshop on integrating Open Sound Meter into a tuning workflow.

Meet Pavel throughout the show during exhibit hours to see Ehren.DSP in action and ask any questions about Open Sound Meter.

Integrated Systems Europe is over!

was a show we’ll remember for a long time — for its incredible scale and the warm welcome we received.

At our booth, we had many deep, technical conversations with industry professionals. It’s always inspiring to see how many people are already using in their daily work.

We were also glad to build new — sometimes unexpected — connections.

We introduced , and the level of interest and feedback was encouraging. We will continue working closely with our testing team. More detailed information about the new project will follow a little later.

Once again, thanks to everyone who stopped by, shared ideas and took the time to talk.

Those conversations gave us a lot of real-world scenarios and questions. We’re preparing a series of posts to explore some cases in sound measurement — stay tuned!

SZ-12 at LEatCon!

The first day of LEatCon passed (what a day it was!), tomorrow and day after tomorrow (October 15, 16) - come by to chat!

We're showing and discussing different measurement setup examples.

From right to left:

1. iPad setup - independent measurement and remote control of others

2. Windows PC setup featuring wireless measurement with Gaodimic plug-on

3. Pavel's personal setup with MacBook and a lot of his saved data

4. Alex's iPhone with USB-Microphone just for fun (works perfectly though!)

The new version 1.5.2!

A few more fixes should not wait until the next big update.

• improved delay finder
• fix for occasional crash on opening big projects
• fix for infrequent crash on long-time running SPL meter
• fix for Apply estimated delay shortcut (now Cmd/Ctrl + 9)

UPD. Windows installer updated

The new version 1.5.1!

Despite many improvements and fixes included in version 1.5 with the valuable community's help, I've found a couple more and decided to release a fix for them immediately.

• Fixes
Primarily, it relates to the Windows 11 driver problem.
Other small fixes and optimizations.

• Equalizer source
This update also includes one improvement for the equalization source. It makes it possible to turn on/off individual filters in their properties, without opening the EQ group.
