Hello Everyone , It's been a very long time since my last post and it is simply down to how busy we are . We hope you are all keeping well during these incredibly difficult times. We have noticed an increase in our work load after the lockdowns of last year , and it is because of this I no longer have routine appointments for November. I am already booking work in December and as always we will not be doing services after the 17th of December . It will be breakdowns only before Christmas , Yes I have said the C word but as were nearly in November I think it's allowed . While we are still going through this pandemic Peter is still wearing a face mask while carrying out his work. We hope this doesn't cause offence , but given how many homes he enters every day it seems the responsible thing to do and hope our customers understand. Once again can we thank all our customers for your continued support and welcome our new customers . Our office number is 01454 327738 , please ring this to book any appointments , whether services or breakdowns , Peter is finding it increasingly difficult to answer his mobile while out at work . We hope you all stay safe and well during the run up to Christmas and beyond. Take care everyone Gloria Morris.

Good morning everyone, We hope you all had a good Christmas and are well . Sadly our Christmas got off to a bad start when I broke my wrist and needed surgery a week before . It was because of this Pete was under increased pressure and had to turn away some new customers , and pass on some breakdowns. January is proving very busy and I no longer have spaces for routine services.I am happy to book for February or further ahead. As always Pete is available for advice , and will try to get to breakdowns as quickly as he can. He is still following HSE and Government advice during the pandemic . We would both like to take this opportunity again to thank you for your continued support and wish you a healthy , happy and safe new year . Gloria and Pete Morris.

Good Morning everyone well December is finally here so as usual we are incredibly busy and unfortunately there are no routine appointments available till after Christmas, so services will have to be booked in January. The first 2 weeks are already pretty full. We will , as every year , be doing breakdowns only the week before Christmas. As ever Pete will be happy to give advice over the phone . Both Pete and I would like to take this opportunity to say a big THANK YOU to all our customers through this extremely difficult year . Your continued support of our business has left us feeling very humble , while others have not been so fortunate your loyalty has kept us going. We also appreciate the effort and measures you have taken to keep Pete and yourselves safe while he carries out his work. With this in mind until we are given different advice from HSE Pete will continue to wear a face mask etc. We wish you and your families a happy ,peaceful Christmas. Be safe , stay well and keep warm. All the best Gloria and Pete Morris.

Hello Everyone, We hope you are all well and staying safe during these incredibly trying times . As we enter another 4 week lockdown I wanted to reassure our customers that Peter will be continuing to work. As before he will be following all the HSE guide lines , wearing a face mask etc. If anyone, who has a serviced booked ,would rather postpone then please contact me and I will be happy to rearrange for you . We are how ever very busy and I can't guarantee to book regular work before christmas. If you have any problems that you need advice for then please contact the office and I can take your details so that Peter can call you .He is experiencing a high volume of phone calls to his mobile during the day , which as you can imagine he is unable to answer as he is either working or driving between jobs .The office number is 01454 327738. As always breakdowns take priority and routine services may be changed or Peter may get to appointments late . It is very difficult to pinpoint an exact time for Peter's arrival but I do my best . I will always contact you to let you know if work is over running. In these uncertain times that we are all finding so difficult we wish you well , stay safe everyone . Gloria Morris. Please feel free to share this post.

Hello everyone, we hope you are all safe and well during these increasingly difficult times . As happens every autumn Peter is incredibly busy, we have already allocated all our routine appointments for October . We understand some of our customers were unable to book in the summer as they usually would because of isolating etc., hence the overwhelming work load. So I'm sorry I will be unable to book services now until November . Rest assured however , as always, I will endeavour to get Peter out to any breakdowns within 24 hours. As I am booking so far ahead I appreciate some boilers my develop faults before the service date , if this happens please call us so we sort it out . If you have other issues you would like Peter to look at during a service , eg radiators leaking or not getting warm ,dripping taps etc please let me know while booking your service so I can allow extra time . Peter is following all the current advice on Covid 19 to keep you and him safe . He is using antibacterial wipes on his tools in-between jobs and regularly cleaning his hands with hand sanitiser , and wearing a face mask. If you would prefer him to wash his hands upon entering your home please ask him, he will be carrying his own towel . All we would ask of you is to please observe the 2 meter rule and give Peter the space he needs to work safely , which in turn keeps you safe . As you can imagine this is slowing Peter down considerably so we can only apologise if he is late and appreciate your understanding. Take care of yourselves and each other, our number is 01454 327738 I look forward to speaking to you . Gloria Morris.

Good morning everyone , We hope you are all well and staying safe . Following the Government announcements and advice this week with regards returning to work Peter and I are happy to announce that as from next week we will be reinstating routine services to boilers. We have thought long and hard about this , and given the amount of phone calls we have received this week feel now is the right time . We understand that there are real concerns about someone entering your household who doesn't live there , but please be assured that Peter will be following all the current advice on social distancing. We are following Gas Safe advice and some weeks ago I contacted our local MP to see if maintenance work should go ahead, and the answer was yes . We realise that it may be a little strange and worrying to see Peter wearing a face mask and gloves but it is, we feel , a necessary precaution to protect both you and him . Can I also say it has been lovely to hear from our regular customers this week and Peter and I would like to say a big thank you for your continuing loyalty and support through these very difficult times . Our number as always is 01454 327738, we very much look forward to hearing from you .Stay safe and well , Regards Gloria Morris , Please feel free to share this post.

Good morning everyone , we hope you are all well and staying safe . I just wanted to let our landlord/ladies know that I have had an email from Gas Safe this morning and as I said before you have a responsibility to keep Gas certificates up to date . There is no change to the currant guidelines, so unlike car MOTS there is no extension to get safety checks done . If you need further information please look on the Gov .uk website , there you will find 8 scenarios set out by HSE, which are intended to help landlords understand what may be considered reasonable steps to take , to demonstrate compliance with their duties to have gas appliances checked annually. Gas safe has also outlined that no work should be carried out in any household which is isolating or where an individual is being shielded , unless the work is to remedy a direct risk to the safety of the household, such as emergency plumbing or boiler repairs .I hope this has cleared up some questions for you . As always Peter is happy to give advice over the phone , so please feel free to call if you have any concerns over plumbing or boiler issues.I have taken a few bookings for boiler services in June and July so if you would like to book for services in the summer or autumn I am happy to book them now. Peter and I wish you and your families all the best ,stay well and keep safe. Gloria Morris

Good morning everyone , Just wanted to give you all an update on Landlord safety checks . We have spoken to advisors at Gas Safe and it is our understanding that they expect certificates to be kept up to date .However if someone is self isolating because they are vulnerable or are exhibiting symptoms , however mild , it will not be possible to carry out the safety check until it is safe to do so . If any of your tenants would rather no one entered their property while the current situation is going on all we would ask of you as their landlord/lady is to get an email stating this so that both you and Peter have the proof of why the work was not carried out on time . If any tenants have a breakdown or a safety issue while in isolation Gas Safe feel heating engineers have a duty of care to get the problem resolved. In such an eventuality Peter would contact Public Health England for advice. I hope this has answered some questions . As always Peter and I wish you all well , stay safe . Gloria Morris

Hello everyone. Following last night's Government announcement Peter and I have decided that for the next 3 weeks, possibly longer, we will only be carrying out breakdown work. All services which were booked will have to be cancelled and I will be calling the customers this affect. However, I think it is too early to rebook theses services for a later date, until we see how things develop.

Many of our customers who have boilers that are less than 5 years old are worried about their boilers' warranties. It is our understanding that the manufacturers will honour the warranties even if the service date over runs. This is certainly true for Baxi and Worcester boilers. If you are unsure you should look in your log book for contact details of your boilers manufacturers and ask them direct. At the moment we are not to sure about the advice for landlord safety checks. I would hope given these difficult times the rules will be relaxed. I will update you all when we have more clarity on this issue.

If you do have a breakdown please contact us as usual on the landline (01454 327738), or Pete's mobile (07976594561). Where possible Pete will try to give advice over the phone, especially with regards pressure problems, either too low or getting too high. Other than that he will carry out breakdowns where the customer has no heating or hot water. If I have left anything out and you have a question please call us and we will try to help as best we can. We again wish you all well and please stay safe. Gloria Morris

Hello everyone, I'm sure you all at the moment have the same worries and concerns about COVID 19 as Pete and I . So with that on our minds I thought it best to reassure you that while Pete is able to work he will follow the necessary precautions. This will include asking to wash his hands before leaving your house, and if you would feel more secure , please ask Pete to wash his hands when entering your home . I'm sure given the circumstances neither Pete or you will take offence to this request. Given the nature of CORONAVIRUS I'm sure that in the near future some of you will unfortunately have to cancel appointments at the last minute. There is no penalty for cancelling appointments and we would rather you do this then take any unnecessary risks . Like wise if Pete becomes unwell I will call you to cancel his appointment. If you have any concerns about your heating or plumbing over these difficult times Pete, as always , will be happy to give you advise over the phone .As Abraham Lincoln once quoted "This too shall pass". Until then Pete and I wish you all well, we hope you stay safe and healthy. Take care everyone , our number as always is tel: 01454 327728 Gloria Morris

Good morning everyone on this cold ,dull wet day .As we are nearly at the end of November I think I am safe in mentioning the 'C' word, yes , CHRISTMAS is nearly upon us again . As always Pete is incredibly busy and I am fast running out of appointments for routine services in December. Our regular customers will know I do have a cut off date for these services , this year it is on the morning of the 19th December, after that it will be breakdowns only until the new year . This is to ensure Pete is able to get to those last minute breakdowns before Christmas , we would hate to leave anyone with out heating over the festive period. I am already booking work into January , so am happy to book appointments in advance .
Can I again remind our customers to tell Pete of any problems relating to your heating while he is there servicing your boilers , including radiators not getting warm enough or worrying noises coming from your system.( These little niggles always seem worse right before Christmas).
We hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and New Year .
Best wishes from Pete and me . STAY WARM!!

Morning everyone,Well after some late summer sunshine on the21st September it seems that Autumn is finally here , and as you can imagine we are incredibly busy . I am currently booking services for the end of October already . So can I please again remind our lovely Landlords /Ladies to give me at least 2 weeks notice to book gas checks in . Can I also ask that while booking your boiler services if you have any other problems please mention this at the same time . we do try to keep to the time slot given but this is proving difficult when Pete is asked to do extra jobs .Also I have some customers who seem to think that a boiler service will instantly fix a broken boiler , sadly it is not that simple ,you wouldn't expect to take your car in for a service and then find your broken starter motor works after. Sometimes it's during a service that problems are picked up early , and Pete is happy to do a service after a breakdown , but again I would need to know in advance to allow the right amount of time. Well I hope that has covered everything, but before I sign off can I just say how lovely it has been to hear from some of our customers who have come back to us this year after missing their regular services due to poor health etc. Welcome back! The number as always is 01454 327738 , STAY WARM . Gloria Morris
