The BD-5 Micro is a series of small, single-seat homebuilt aircraft was created in the late 1960s by US aircraft designer Jim Bede and introduced to the market primarily in "kit" form by the now-defunct Bede Aircraft Corporation in the early 1970s.

only a few hundred BD-5 kits were completed, although many of these are still being flown today. The BD-5J version holds the record for the world's lightest single-engine jet aircraft, weighing only 358.8 lb (162.7 kg).

So what is a flight clearance you may ask. well a flight clearance can be seen as a 'passport' which a person would use to get from one country to the next, only the person is a giant 18 ton flying Aluminium monster and the passport to get from country to country is a simple permit number...

now, just as it is a mission for you to get your passport - (the waiting, the calling, the rush, the miscommunication and the delays etc...) it is a mission for you to get a permit for a foreign aircraft... (as I'm sure you can imagine)
