A very special visit at Orlichem last Friday. 🇿🇦🇧🇪

We were honoured to welcome Consul General of Belgium, Nicolas Fierens Gevaert, Deputy Consul General Vanya Kips, and Rania Aboulkacim from the University of Antwerp to our Cape Town head office.

With our joint venture and partnership with Christeyns bringing a proud Belgian connection into the Orlichem story, it was such a meaningful opportunity to sit down together, introduce our management team and share more about who we are, where we have come from and where we are heading.

Over coffee, doughnuts and good conversation, we spoke about what the Orlichem x Christeyns Venture and partnership means for our local team, our customers and the future of the business in South Africa. We also had the chance to show our visitors around our offices, factory and warehouses - giving them a closer look at the people and operations behind Orlichem.

The Consulate General team plays an important role in supporting Belgian citizens and helping strengthen connections between Belgium and businesses across the region. It was wonderful to be welcomed into that broader Belgian-South African community.

Thank you, Consul General Nicolas, Deputy Consul General Vanya and Rania, for taking the time to visit us. We truly enjoyed hosting you and look forward to staying connected.

If you are part of a Belgian-connected business in South Africa, please feel free to say hello, we would genuinely love to connect. 🤝

A new sign, a new chapter. 🇿🇦🤝

As renovations and expansion continue at our Cape Town head office, we are proud to see the Christeyns name take its place alongside Orlichem for the first time in South Africa.

The new extension gives us additional office, storage and factory/warehouse capacity, supporting our continued growth and strengthening our ability to bring Christeyns’ global hygiene expertise to customers across the region. 🌍

Same local Orlichem team. Greater capability. Exciting things ahead.🤩🚀

When a hotel’s standards are high, the details matter‼️

We are proud to receive this feedback from The Onyx Hotel, a premium hospitality destination in Cape Town’s Foreshore, just moments from the CTICC and city centre.

For more than 18 years, our team has supported their kitchen, laundry and housekeeping operations with reliable chemical solutions, practical technical support and convenient dosing-stations that help reduce waste and control operating costs. The result is consistent cleanliness, hygiene and efficiency…without compromise ✅

Thank you to The Onyx Hotel for the trust and continued partnership. 🤝

Would you fight Brittany? 👀🥊

Ada took on the trend and asked the office one important question: Would you fight someone for me? Which went well... Until she revealed who they would be fighting. 😅

Meet Brittany: the office sweetie, and our founder’s daughter - apparently not someone you volunteer to take on lightly. 😂

Tag your office’s “sweetie” and let us know: would you fight them for your colleague? 👀

Another look at our pristine laundry installation at a state-of-the-art private hospital in George. 🧺⚙️

Behind every clean load is a properly designed process. From the chemical store and dosing pumps to the programmes built around each linen type, soil level and hygiene requirement.

Our qualified laundry service technicians work with your team to:
☑️ Set up and commission equipment
☑️ Select the right chemistry for your operation
☑️ Programme accurate dosing and wash processes
☑️ Create simple, reliable cycles for different linen categories
☑️ Monitor chemical use, stock levels and cost-in-use over time

The result? Your team loads the machine, selects the right programme and trusts the process... while Orlichem works behind the scenes to keep wash quality high, operations running smoothly and chemical costs under control. ✅

With newer laundry technology, like Rapid‑O, in our offerings, we can also help facilities reduce water and energy consumption without compromising on clean💧⚡

We are more than just chemicals. We offer a complete laundry solution, supported by people who understand your operation 😎

Chantelle getting her hands dirty in Congo 🇨🇩🧤

Our Industrial Sales Manager was on the ground with our partners at Daron, visiting customers, getting stuck into the practical side of things and seeing their operations first-hand.

Because the best solutions do not come from behind a desk - they come from understanding the site, the people and the challenges properly. 🌍🤝

A little PPE, a lot of teamwork, and a shared commitment to keeping our customers supported across Africa.

From black oxide scars to a clean, bright finish in 15 minutes.🕒✨

In this demo, Lumo stainless steel pickling gel went to work on a heavily marked welding bay, lifting weld scale, heat tint and black oxide so the stainless could get its corrosion resistance and professional look back.

Because it’s an adhesive gel, Lumo brushes on easily and sticks to vertical and overhead welds, making it ideal for real‑world fabrication sites, not just flat test panels.

Lumo is formulated without hydrochloric acid or halogen groups, is fully water‑rinsable, and any remaining acid residue can be neutralised with our Neutraliser, which turns leftover acid red so you can see it and safely neutralise it before final rinse.✅

📞 Want to see what Lumo can do on your site?
Contact us for pricing, orders or to arrange an on‑site demo with one of our team.

Choosing Orlichem means choosing a laundry partner, not just a chemical supplier. 🤝

From day one, our team takes the time to understand your facility, linen flows and supply chain, then helps select the right equipment, wash programmes and products around how you actually operate. We manage the full installation - from dosing systems and chemical stores to programming cycles by linen type, soil level and department - so staff simply load, select and let the system do the work. 📊

With high‑performance, medical‑grade chemistry, clear documentation, and regular on‑site check‑ins and chemical control, we keep your wash quality, compliance and cost‑in‑use tightly under control.

In short: Orlichem designs, installs, supplies and supports the entire laundry solution, so you get clean, safe linen and peace of mind, every single day. ✨✅

When a stain has been there for years, most people stop believing it can move! 🥵

That was the case for one of our brewery clients, where dark organic build‑up on the floors had basically become part of the facility.

Using HudChem 88, our heavy‑duty powdered floor degreaser designed for cement and concrete, we scrubbed a small test patch - and the “permanent” staining lifted to reveal the original floor beneath.
Safe for use in food manufacturing environments (where the pine fragrance is acceptable), HudChem 88 cut through years of greasy, organic soil and left the area clean and fresh 💪

✅ Another “we thought this was impossible” moment turned into another happy customer left almost speechless! 😉😎

Sometimes manufacturing doesn’t go 100% to plan...

A recent bleach batch developed an unexpected colour change after fragrance was added - perfectly effective and safe, but not up to the visual standard we promise our customers 🫣

Instead of selling it at a discount, we chose to donate it to two incredible charities who rely on bleach to keep their spaces clean, safe and disease‑free. Turning an imperfect batch into meaningful support for our community is a decision we’re very proud of! 🤗🥰

Wishing you happy, healthy and clean days ahead Cheryl Lyn's Rescue Organisation!
