Siyamthanda Zishwayi also known as Surfics was born on the 24th of February 1999, at Khayelitsha Township of Cape Town in the Western Cape, he spent all his formative years in Khayelitsha. He grew up with both his parents and one sibling, he is the first child. His neighbour (Akhona Nembile) was a source of inspiration, strength and his pillar, he introduced him to music.

Siyamthanda Zishwayi is also a studio recording rapper, song writter, producer, performer and an upcoming Hip Hop star; he has shared a stage with the likes of NakedMynd, Zanzolo and Ndlulamthi. He was inspired by Pro Kid, Kwesta and Teargas, he fell inlove with music because that's also his inspiration. He discovered his love for music at the age of 13 years old. In 2017 he met Thobela T-Steezy Paul the Radio Khaltsha FM Radio Presenter in Harare Square when he was scheduled to perform at YLC open mic session, T-Steezy liked his performance and scheduled an interview at the Radio Station #061 Let's Talk Hip Hop Show and his tracks Ex Call and Short Prayer were played during the Interview. In 2018 he won the ManUp Soenat Cypher Battle that was hosted by DJ Ready the Good Hop FM Radio DJ. In 2019 he opened a stage for Zakwe. You can get his songs on Google they are search away
