Dear Customers, Clients and Students:

This is an important message for all candidates seeking to undertake their First PCN Exam.

PRODUCT Technology Online Training. Effective from 1-Nov-25

BINDT have mandated that:
All New PCN applicants,
Meaning those without any prior ISO 9712 certification,
Must first complete an online Product Technology Course prior to undertaking any PCN Exam.
The Course is at an additional fee, that is payable online, directly to BINDT.
New Candidates must complete the course, and upon successful completion will be issued a Certificate that must be presented to the Training Organisation, when booking an exam.
This is a once off requirement.

MORE INFORMATION:
PCN candidates who do not currently hold, or who have never held PCN, or any other ISO 9712 compliant NDT certification, shall be required to demonstrate their knowledge of materials and processes. (Product technology.) BINDT have developed a new interactive online Product Technology training course to help PCN candidates achieve the required knowledge.

The training module requires new PCN candidates to successfully complete each individual section before demonstrating their knowledge in an end-of-course assessment.

A digital Product Technology certificate will be issued following successful completion of the online training, and end-of-course assessments.

Upon satisfactory completion the candidate shall supply a copy of their successful completion of training certificate, to the Training School.

The Product Technology program is a one-time process (there is no need to repeat it for each method). It does not need to be re-taken when carrying out exams for other methods if the candidate already holds a successful completion of training certificate.

ACCESS TO THE PRODUCT TECHNOLOGY MATERIAL:
Candidates are required to register and pay the applicable fee via the BINDT website to gain access to the Product Technology learning material. Upon registration, each candidate will be provided with a personal account, granting access to the online material for a period of up to 12 months.

THE FEE: As at 25-Nov-25
There is a nominal charge of £60.00 + VAT. Payable to BINDT.
(Not to the training School).
This fee covers the cost of the online hosting of the course, and it is payable when signing up for the course.
Access to the course will be available for 365 days from the date of purchase.

FINAL NOTE:
After the 1st of November-2025, New (First Time) Candidates will not be permitted to undertake a PCN Exam, without the Online Product tech Training Certificate.
