🌍🌍 Empowering Africa through Local Vaccine Manufacturing
At Liselo Labs - Hilton SA, we are proud to be at the forefront of a transformative movement in Africa’s public health landscape. Led by the renowned Prof. Faith Osier , the Chanjo Hub (of which Liselo Labs is a partner) is an African-led, academic-industry consortium focused on catalyzing local vaccine manufacturing ecosystems. This initiative is crucial for addressing endemic diseases in Africa whilst aiming to meet the The Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC) and the African Union (AU) objective that Africa manufacture 60% of its vaccine needs by 2040, up from 1% currently.
Our collaboration with esteemed partners like the Chanjo Hub, the University of Cape Town, and the CSIR South Africa (Council for Scientific and Industrial Research) is driving the development of innovative vaccines and biologics, tailored to the unique needs of our continent.
