Introducing our 12 Ton Gross Vehicle Mass low profile flameproof mining grader, a custom designed tool for the construction and maintenance of underground roadways of coal mines, allowing users the flexibility of access throughout the underground working without restrictions or limitations.

Recognizing modern mines are extracting ore from more compact coal seam widths, the motor-grader is configured to work in tunnels as low as 1500 mm in height, with a hydraulically operated height adjustable canopy.

Mechanized mining is a constant for the future, and the construction and proper maintenance of roadways a key driver in minimizing the operating costs of trackless mining machinery: Frames, chassis, suspensions, axles, rims and tyre life cycle operating costs are all impacted by the condition of travelling roadways within the confines of mines.

Despite its compact dimensions the product includes the following unique features:

As a centre articulated machine, it also includes an oscillating front steering axle, that allows steering both at the centre of the machine and at the front wheels, ideal for the vehicle to negotiate the confines of underground excavations.

Permanent four-wheel drive on the tandem mounted rear wheels with the options of a full six by six drive for harsher operating environments.

Comprehensive range of blade manipulation and movement suitable for both road building, including ditches, and thereafter maintenance, including blade rotation, tilt, independent up-down and side-shift as found on commercial construction graders.

Dual joystick control with all machine functions housed within the envelope of the hand held controls, so the operator retains full control of the drive and grading functions within the grasp of his hands.

Unique seamless ring design that eliminates the ring gear and pinion, drive which are susceptible to failure in harsh operating environments – two hydraulic cylinders rotate the mouldboard on a smooth machined gearless ring, and are protected from failure with the inclusion of relief bypass valves.

Balanced centre of gravity in the longitudinal axis, positioned in close proximity of the blade landing to optimize the blade cutting force. This is achieved with the addition of ballast weights ahead of the nose of the grader.

The latest models are available with a bolt on hydraulically operated ripper at the rear, to increase vehicle application versatility.

The 12T flameproof grader is one of many underground mining graders we manufacture specifically for the mining industry, including the hard-rock counterparts and heavier machines going up to 19Ton gross vehicle mass suitable for larger excavations with heavier duty cycles and work applications.
