Southern Palladium’s Executive Chairman, Roger Baxter, is in London this week for two premier engagements on the global PGM calendar.

On 18 May, Roger will join the Mining Panel at the SFA Oxford Platinum Lectures, where leaders from across the platinum group metals and critical minerals value chain will explore this year’s theme, Turbulence in PGMs: Signals, Noise, Strategy.

He will also attend Platinum Week (18–23 May), including the World Platinum Investment Council (WPIC), contributing to the broader conversations shaping the future of the sector.

We look forward to a week of meaningful engagement with industry leaders, partners, and stakeholders.

Southern Palladium has announced new metallurgical test work results from the Bengwenyama PGM project.

The results demonstrate a significant increase in chrome recoveries, rising from 30% to 65%, with chrome contributing to approximately 19% of the current project revenue.

These findings support continued progress as the project advances through its Definitive Feasibility Study.

Communities in Mapodile and Ga Ragopola, Limpopo Province, came together on 28–29 March 2026, to get updates on the Bengwenyama PGM project and its planned key milestones.
The project, whose development will begin once its anticipated mining right is received, has the potential to create more than 7,130 jobs when it reach Stage 2 steady state and unlock real local benefits, including skills development and opportunities for local businesses.
Thank you to Southern Palladium, Nurinox, Miracle upon Miracle leadership, the Royal Family, Traditional Council and community members who participated and shared their views.
Community engagements like these will continue as the project moves into its next phase in the months ahead.

Southern Palladium Limited has appointed Mark Humphery as Project Manager for the Bengwenyama Project on the Eastern Limb of South Africa’s Bushveld Complex.

With more than 28 years of global mining experience, Mark will oversee site development activities, support the ongoing drilling program and contribute to the completion of the Definitive Feasibility Study (DFS).

We were proud to see our Executive Chairman, Roger Baxter representing Southern Palladium as a speaker at yesterday’s PGMs Industry Day 2026, joining industry leaders to discuss the role of new PGM producers and the future direction of the sector.

Participating in Session Two, “New projects, new players? What is the impact and views of new PGMs producers on the future of the industry?”, Roger shared insights on the evolving PGM landscape and the importance of responsible project development in supporting the long-term sustainability and competitiveness of the industry.
