The team at Micro Auto has completed the rebuild of this Nissan KA24 2.4-litre four-cylinder petrol engine.

FUN FACT: The KA24 has powered a variety of Nissan models around the world, including the Hardbody/NP300, Navara and Pathfinder. It’s also famous among car enthusiasts for its use in the Nissan 240SX, where it has become a popular platform for performance builds and engine swaps.

That’s where proper diagnostics make the difference.

Damian and Willie are using a borescope camera to get a closer look inside the engine, inspecting areas that would otherwise be difficult to see without stripping everything down.

The goal? Gather more information, narrow down the possible cause and determine the best way forward before committing to repairs.

Because when it comes to engine problems, guessing can get expensive. Proper diagnosis comes first.

The pieces are ready. Now comes the rebuild.

There’s something satisfying about seeing an engine laid out like this knowing that every component is about to come together again.

Fresh pistons. Fresh rods. New gaskets. A prepared block. A rebuilt crank. Everything measured, checked and ready for assembly.

We’re looking forward to putting it all back together and getting this engine running the way it should.
