🌞 Is Your Solar PV System Legally Registered? 🌞

https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/eskoms-registration-ruling-2025-ssesa-rg3se/

A must-read article by Jeremy Maggs discusses the importance of legal registration for Solar PV systems in South Africa. If you're a business or residential owner with a Solar PV system, have you ensured that your system is fully compliant with Eskom or your local municipality's regulations? 🤔

There have been growing concerns about unregistered systems—many of which have been installed without informing clients of the registration process. Without registration, your system could be deemed illegal, which can lead to significant challenges down the line.

The ongoing threat of loadshedding in South Africa underscores the urgent need for sustainable and reliable energy sources. With load reduction already affecting various cities, the situation could worsen as mining activities resume, placing significant demand on the electricity grid.

South Africa has immense potential for renewable energy, particularly from solar and wind sources. The country’s geographic location provides abundant sunlight and high wind velocities, especially along the coast. Investing in these renewable resources can help mitigate the electricity crisis and reduce reliance on fossil fuels.

By embracing renewable energy and innovative solutions, South Africa can work towards a more stable and sustainable energy future, reducing the impact of loadshedding and ensuring a reliable power supply for all.

South Africa may experience load-shedding again despite Eskom’s improvements in electricity supply.
