The Centre for Energy and Electric Power (CEEP)
The centre is one of the Centers,Institutes,Technology and Incubators (CITSIs) at the Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) from the Electrical Engineering department.
The purpose of the Centre for Energy and Electrical Power is to enable staff to take advantage of opportunities that exist in the market to perform research and contract work while still enabling them to fulfill their core teaching function at the university, as well as facilitating community outreach. By so doing, they are able to generate additional income for the university and to render their professional skills to address society’s needs. The establishment of a centre with a particular focus contributes to the acceleration of research as well as the convergence of research skills in the chosen focus area . It also creates a vehicle by which the University can capitalise on developments and initiatives in the external environment in and around this field by responding to calls for tenders and applications through an established body of expertise.
