ROMPCO is proud to hand over newly constructed classrooms, a modern administration building, a library, and a soccer field, together with the renovation of existing facilities, today 09 June 2026, at Armando Emilio Guebuza Secondary School. Located along the gas pipeline route, the school serves as an important educational hub for the local community.
This initiative forms part of ROMPCO’s ongoing commitment to supporting the sustainable development of communities through which its pipeline traverses.
The upgraded infrastructure is designed to provide learners and educators with a safe, modern, and conducive environment for teaching, learning, and recreation. The new classrooms will help ease overcrowding and improve learning conditions, while the administration building will strengthen the school’s operational capacity. The newly established library will enhance access to educational resources and promote a culture of reading and academic excellence. In addition, the soccer field will provide opportunities for sport, physical development, and community engagement, contributing to learners' holistic growth.
This investment reflects ROMPCO’s belief that education is a powerful catalyst for social and economic development.
The official handover ceremony was presided over by Her Excellency Margarida Sebastião Mapandzene Chongo, Governor of Gaza Province. The event was attended by ROMPCO’s Executive Management team, led by Chief Executive Officer Mlandzeni Boyce, accompanied by Chief Operations Officer Amilton Alisonne, General Manager: Corporate Services Mbulelo Ntusi, Technical Manager Luis Gudo, and Paulo Maputere -Area Manager for Mozambique. Their presence underscored the significance of this milestone for the learners, educators, and residents of Ndindiza Village in the Chigubo District of Gaza Province, Mozambique.
The handover marks a significant milestone in ROMPCO’s partnership with local communities and reinforces the company’s dedication to creating shared value beyond the transportation of natural gas. Through strategic investments in education and community infrastructure, ROMPCO continues to play a meaningful role in building stronger, more resilient, and prosperous communities along its pipeline corridor.
