Good day all,

We are all aware of the COVID-19 (corona-virus epidemic) spreading across the globe without boundaries and over the past two-week SA has te**es thousands of individuals with more than 270 positive cases for the COVID-19 virus. The well-being of our staff, our suppliers and our clients is a priority and it is for this reason we as Amoref is putting the following measures in place.

• Our staff is currently continuing with normal production while following the medical and sanitary guidelines stipulated by our government and the world health organisation. Our staff working out of country is recalled and will conform to self-quarantine measures and required by the South African department of health.

• All suppliers delivering to Amoref must ensure that they follow the same protocol’s and can contact our offices telephonically should they need any advise or information regarding these health protocol’s

• We ask our clients throughout the world and in Africa to avoid traveling to our factories, but rather do all meetings via Skype or WhatsApp. Plant progress viewing can be done by our sales staff walking with a GoPro camera supplied to them around the plants and uploading these videos for viewing.

I trust that we all agree to these control measures and collectively we will do our part in reducing the spread of this virus. Thank you in advance for you understanding and cooperation.

We thank all our clients for your support and valued input in improving our product range. You the small-scale gold mining community are an important cornerstone in job creation, community upliftment and economic advancement of so many countries in this bountiful continent of Africa and we are extremely proud to have played a large roll in this small-scale mining sectors growth and transformation. We are looking forward to working with each and every one of you to ensure your continued success for 2020 and beyond.
To our staff, suppliers and agents I want to extend our gratitude for your hard work, determination and relentless effort in maintaining the high-quality workmanship our clients demand. This combined with our new product range ensured we maintained our position as the leader in the supply of small-scale mining equipment.
The last half of 2019 saw a tremendous increase in demand for our product that required us to increase our manufacturing facilities from 1100m² to 1700m² and we intend to further increase our facilities to over 5000m² in 2020. Currently we can complete 10 plants per week but we should be in a position in mid-2020 to produce 50 plants per week to keep up with the ever-increasing demand.
I trust that all of you will have a well-deserved break during the festive season and we pray that all will be safe and well rested for an exciting 2020 in January.
