Recognising excellence at Impala Rustenburg! 16 Shaft General Manager Nonku Mosikare and her team proudly congratulated six Platinum Miners for three consecutive months of outstanding production and safety performance. These miners also completed the Miner Development Training Intervention, reinforcing their commitment to excellence. Congratulations to all six miners on this remarkable achievement.

Implats has zero tolerance for genderbased violence (GBV) and actively promotes safety,
equity and wellbeing across its operations and communities. Initiatives include a 24-hour hotline, financial support to GBV funds and Thuthuzela Care Centres, self defence training, awareness campaigns, community aid, male-led culture change programmes, employee wellbeing partnerships and gender pay equity.

Together with Women in Mining (WIM), SAPS Mecklenburg, Mecklenburg Victim Empowerment Centre, and Fetakgomo Local Municipality Traffic, we’re standing united against violence towards women and children. Let’s raise our voices, show support for victims and commit to ending all forms of abuse.

Marula’s hiking team embraced a weekend of camping, scenic hikes and team-building at Magoebaskloof. Despite rain interruptions, the experience strengthened communication, endurance and collaboration skills that power workplace success. Growth happens when we step out of our comfort zones.

Today we marked the launch of the 16 Days of Activism for No Violence Against Women and Children. Impala Rustenburg management, led by Chief Executive Moses Motlhageng, together with the Women in Mining committee, signed a pledge reaffirming our commitment to preventing gender-based violence and femicide and taking a strong stand against all forms of violence. The 16 Days campaign runs until 10 December, driving awareness, accountability and reinforcing a culture of safety and respect across all operations.

From 25 November to 10 December, we join the voices around the world speaking out against all forms of gender-based violence during 16 Days of Activism for no Violence Against Women and Children. At Implats we are clear: violence against women is a hateful crime that demands a clear response. We condemn these criminal acts and urge the community to stand in solidarity to prevent gender-based violence.
