The African Lion Gold plc Chifunde Gold Project in the Tete province of Mozambique is an exciting gold prospect with 11 major targets identified including primary pit areas. Historic gold mines dating to the Portuguese colonial rule are located along north-south trending structures where significant gold mineralization of 2-13g/ton Au (up to 63g/ton Au) have been recorded. African Lion Gold plc is
one of the largest single tenement holders in this area. The company is following a phased development program to define more than 1 million oz of gold. The African Lion Gold plc (“ALG plc”) Gold Project is a 200km², early stage exploration property with confirmed gold-rich mineralisation over an extensive area and prospective structural geology. Extensive primary and secondary gold deposits have been identified and a wide sampling program has been completed. Over 400 artisanal workers, mining primary gold deposits from surface to ~70m along a ~2, 500m strike. These artisanal miners are producing up to 25kg gold per month from the Primary Source.
