AVOCADO MINING LIMITED ENGAGES WITH KALULUSHI COMMUNITY FOLLOWING ZEMA SECOND PUBLIC HEARING

We appreciate the opportunity provided by the Zambia Environmental Management Agency (ZEMA) to engage with the Kalulushi community, affected and interested parties, and other stakeholders during the second public hearing held on 4th September 2026.

Following concerns raised during the first public hearing regarding emissions and environmental impacts, we presented the measures we have undertaken to strengthen our pollution-control systems and improve our environmental performance.

We further requested an opportunity to demonstrate the performance of these improvements through a controlled trial run under the monitoring of ZEMA, community representatives, and other stakeholders. Following the engagement, residents granted us an opportunity to conduct the trial run, with the results to undergo further verification.

We remain committed to transparency, accountability, responsible mining practices, and ensuring that development and environmental protection go hand in hand. We value continued engagement with the Kalulushi community and all stakeholders as we work together towards sustainable solutions for present and future generations.
