Knowledge is power
👷The Client Who Wanted to Be,But is Not
In the recent past,we dealt with a client who felt he knew more than our engineering crew. He would show up on site when the technical crew wasn't around, instruct the foreman to change plans and later, boast about his knowledge.
The result
❌Wrong alterations
❌ Extra costs
❌Wasted time
And guess what, each time,we had to correct the works.
You would think he would tone down after these corrections, but quite the opposite happened,he became even more critical of the team.
A question arises: Why hire professionals if you don't trust their expertise?
🧱🏠To Construction Teams:How to Handle Such Clients
Not every client will be easy to work with, but let professionalism be your guiding principle .
✅Document everything. Keep records of instructions and corrections
✅Stand firm on technical matters. Safety and quality are non negotiable
✅Communicate with patience, but set clear boundaries
✅Deliver quality regardless, let your work speak for you
✅And above all,get the job done to get the paycheck
🧑🏠To Potential Clients,A Word of Advice
Hiring professionals means you trust them to deliver. While your vision matters, respect and collaboration matter just as much.
✅Share you're ideas clearly, but allow the experts to translate them into safe, lasting structures
✅Visit the site, but don't override plans behind the teams back
✅Raise concerns, but do so respectfully and through the proper channels
✅ Remember construction is a partnership,not a battle
🧠Final Thought
A great building is a result of trust, teamwork and professionalism. When clients and technical teams work together ,not against each other, the outcome is always something that both can be proud of.
