Wicknell Chivayo Dragged Into Mambo Dhuterere’s Explosive Marriage Breakdown

More details have surfaced about what allegedly led gospel singer Mambo Dhuterere to leave his heavily pregnant wife, Dorcas Vambe, known to many as Mai Dhuterere. And businessman Wicknell Chivayo’s name has now been dragged into the family drama.

Wicknell Chivayo Mentioned as Mambo Dhuterere Abandons Pregnant Wife
A source close to Mai Dhuterere claims the gospel artist started acting strangely after discovering his wife was expecting their fifth child. Things reportedly spiralled from there.

According to the source, Mambo Dhuterere packed his bags, grabbed his travel documents and moved out without saying where he was going. His reason? He allegedly blames his wife for bringing bad luck into his life, including losing out on a luxury car from Wicknell Chivayo.

“He appears to be a nice man in public, but he has been subjecting his wife to ridicule, sometimes blaming her for his bad luck. At one point, Dhuterere accused her of bad luck after he failed to get a car from Sir Wicknell Chivayo. The problem now is that his fallout with Mai Dhuterere is affecting their kids, especially their eldest, who doesn’t deserve to be dragged into this mess,” the source said.

From Adoption to Absence
The source also revealed that when the couple first got together, Mai Dhuterere already had a child from a previous relationship. Mambo reportedly agreed to adopt the child, but over time, things changed.

“They settled together when she had a child from a previous marriage, and they agreed to adopt the other child. He has completely changed and started moving around with friends, claiming to be running errands,” the source said.

*Female Teacher In Harare Arrested for Alleged Sexual Abuse of Grade 2 Pupil*

A female teacher in Harare has been arrested on allegations of s*xually abusing a Grade 2 pupil at the school where she worked.

The incident came to light after the young boy confided in his parents about the alleged abuse. Concerned and deeply disturbed, the parents reported the matter to the police, leading to the teacher’s arrest.

Authorities confirmed that the suspect is currently in custody and is set to appear in court soon. If found guilty, she could face a lengthy prison term for her actions.

The allegations have ignited outrage within the Harare community, with parents and child welfare advocates expressing shock and anger over the incident. Many are now calling for stricter measures to safeguard children from s*xual predators, particularly in educational institutions where trust is paramount.

“This is a gross violation of trust and safety. Schools are meant to be safe havens for children, not places where they are exposed to harm,” said a local child rights activist.

The incident has also spurred discussions about the need for enhanced vetting processes for educators and increased awareness programs to educate children on how to recognize and report abuse.

HEALTH and Child Care minister, Douglas Mombeshora, has admitted that the brain drain has left the health sector on its knees, denying patients access to primary medical attention.

Mombeshora revealed this in Parliament this week, while responding to written submissions made by legislators on the state of the health sector in the country.

He said the ministry is struggling to fill vacant posts.

“The Ministry of Health and Child Care is currently facing challenges with inadequate numbers of staff,” he said.

“This has been exacerbated by the cholera outbreak and building of new facilities which have increased the burden on the staffing levels at institutions across the country.”

“The Health Service Commission continues to engage with the Treasury, seeking creation of new posts to enable the ministry to adequately staff both the existing and new health institutions.”

The health sector has been hard-hit by a mass exodus of doctors, nurses and other experienced personnel protesting poor salaries and working conditions.

Most of the health professionals have left for the United Kingdom in recent years, with estimates putting the figure at over 3 000 since 2022.

AT LEAST 100 Advanced Level and university students are set to benefit from a Delta Corporation Limited’s fees assistance programme this year.

The programme has to date assisted over 1 200 students with US$2 million worth of funding.

Delta general manager corporate affairs, Patricia Murambinda, said the initiative targets under-privileged students.

“Delta has been involved in assisting students as a means of enhancing capacity and capability for less privileged students for over 20 years,” Murambinda said.

“Delta runs a vibrant education assistance programme which includes this school bursaries programme which commands close to US$100 000 annually.

“We believe in a brighter, better, thriving and growing society and today something new has come to fulfil this aspiration in the bursary scheme community, and we are proud of it.

“We have 100 students benefiting from the programme from ‘A’ Level up to university this year and these students have been selected with the help of the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education.”

The bursary scheme covers tuition fees for beneficiaries as well as their stationery and other educational needs.
