EGA has inaugurated Al Taweelah recycling plant, the largest aluminium recycling facility in the UAE. Al Taweelah recycling plant has a production capacity of 185,000 tonnes per year of low-carbon, high-quality ‘premium aluminium’ billets and T-bars, marketed by EGA under the product name RevivAL.

We are proud to have received five awards at this year’s Dubai Quality Group Awards, recognising our people’s commitment to innovation, operational excellence, safety, and leadership.

Among the honours, EGA received the Platinum UAE Innovation Award, accepted by our CEO Abdulnasser Bin Kalban, while our Chief ESG & Sustainability Officer Najeeba Al Jabri was recognised in the Leadership Category of the Emirates Women Award.

This week, we celebrated the winners of our annual EGA Aluminium Design and Innovation Challenge, which engages school students from grades 9 to 12 to creatively apply science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) skills to address real-life challenges using aluminium. The challenge forms part of EGA’s Engineer the Future programme, our CSR initiative aimed at encouraging students’ interest in STEM fields and supporting the development of the UAE’s future industrial and innovation workforce.

احتفلنا هذا الأسبوع بالفائزين في تحدي تصميم الألمنيوم السنوي، والذي يشجع طلاب المدارس من الصف التاسع إلى الثاني عشر على تطبيق مهاراتهم في تخصصات العلوم والتكنولوجيا والهندسة والرياضيات بشكل إبداعي لمعالجة تحديات الحياة الواقعية باستخدام الألمنيوم.

EGA has built STEM labs in schools and universities across the UAE, supporting the development of future industrial talent in the nation. The labs provide students with hands-on experience using equipment commonly applied across engineering, fabrication, and product development, helping to build essential technical skills and inspire interest in future STEM careers.

Heat-related illness is a risk for anyone working outdoors in the UAE summer.

Our annual ‘Beat the Heat’ programme is a comprehensive initiative to tackle occupational heat stress and raise awareness of early warning signs among EGA employees.

We protect our people through hydration testing, regular breaks, cooling booths, icemakers, and portable air conditioning in production areas. Safety first, always.

تشكل الإصابات المرتبطة بالإجهاد الحراري خطراً على كل من يعمل في المناطق المكشوفة خلال أشهر الصيف. ولأن السلامة أولا، ودائماً، نعيد إطلاق برنامج "تغلب على الحرارة" وهي مبادرة سنوية شاملة تهدف إلى مواجهة الإجهاد الحراري المهني وتعزيز الوعي بالعلامات المبكرة بين موظفي الشركة وتمكينهم من اتخاذ الإجراءات الوقائية اللازمة.

ونواجه حرارة الصيف من خلال اتباع مجموعة من الإجراءات الوقائية، تشمل اختبارات قياس الترطيب، وفترات الراحة المنتظمة، ومحطات التبريد، وماكينات صنع الثلج، ووحدات التكييف المتنقلة في مختلف المناطق التشغيلية.
