Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan announced 2015 to be the “Year of Innovation”, Virginia International Private School (VIPS) opened its doors to the children of Abu Dhabi. VIPS is a school with its vision set firmly on the future. At VIPS we are committed to provide our children with the qualities and skills that will be essential for a citizen of the 21st century. Our school is a learning organ

ization for each and every child and we carefully monitor and respond to their varied needs. Our teachers work collaboratively in a supportive environment to bring discovery and fun to the classroom. We will clarify our learning expectations, monitor individual student progress toward those expectations and provide appropriate supports that ensure positive learning outcomes. Through our commitment to the integration of the arts and music subjects with science, technology engineering and mathematics, we ensure that students become aware of the connectedness of the different disciplines that constitute a school’s curriculum. We do not forget either that a healthy body is as important as a healthy mind and the importance we place on physical activities, nutrition and sport complements the academic activities in which our students participate. Our commitment to the success of all students, means that we recognize the importance of maintaining a safe, supportive and respectful learning environment. We utilize a Responsive Classroom approach as a framework to build positive interpersonal relationships among students and faculty and to develop a collective responsibility for maintaining a positive school culture. VIPS encourages active parent and community participation in our daily activities. Opportunities to volunteer are numerous and vary based on parent interests, availability and classroom needs. Parents are encouraged to join us as guest readers, library support, or presenters during classroom-centered activities. Research and experience tells us that when parents are involved at school, the performance of all the children at school improves.

At VAS, every smile tells a story, every moment creates a memory, and every step reflects the spirit of our community 💙✨
Our seniors walked through the halls of the school one last time, saying goodbye to their teachers, classmates, and friends while leaving behind unforgettable memories. 🎓
Parents joined us in the celebration, making the day even more special as we honored the journey, achievements, and growth of the Class of 2026 🤍
And this is only the beginning…
The big day awaits on June 3 at Qasr Al Hosn, where we will proudly celebrate their graduation together.🌟

Our little KG stars walked the runway with creativity, confidence, and a love for our planet! 🌍✨. Our KG Eco-Friendly Fashion Show was a beautiful celebration of sustainability, imagination, and teamwork. From recycled materials to creative designs, every outfit carried a special message — caring for the Earth can be fun, meaningful, and inspiring.
We are so proud of our young eco heroes for shining brightly and reminding us all that even small actions can make a big difference for a greener future.

“A child is not raised by words... but by what they see.”

In a year dedicated to the family by the UAE, our students from Bateen World Academy sit down with family counsellor Ms. Mariam Saif Al Zaabi — member of the Family Advisory Council — for an honest conversation around the question every Emirati home is asking today:

How do we hold on to our roots while staying open to the world?

A dialogue that explores:
• Why the family is the nation’s first foundation
• Balancing digital life with real connection at home
• The line between conscious openness and losing oneself
• How identity lives in daily details — from a morning kiss to wearing the kandura

In our home... roots don’t change
In our home... openness begins with confidence in who we are
In our home... identity starts at home 🇦🇪
