Designed to help participants refine their ideas, validate their business models, and bring their ventures to life, the program provides hands-on support, expert guidance, and opportunities to learn from real-world challenges.

This was followed by a Customer Discovery session, which included hands-on interviews with the NYUAD community across campus, allowing participants to test assumptions and gather real user insights.

As AI becomes part of childhood, the startAD AI for Good panel discussion brought together influential voices across psychology, policy, and technology to explore “Growing Up with AI: The Future of Children’s Mental Health.”

The conversation reflected a shared understanding: while AI holds promise for early intervention and expanded access to care, children’s mental well-being must be grounded in strong safeguards, cultural context, and human oversight. With mental health risks among young people rising, the urgency to act responsibly is real.

With thanks to Takalam as the knowledge partner, and our panel of regional experts for their insights, this is just a glimpse of a much larger dialogue.
