CYRUS GROUP OF COMPANIES – BITUMEN ACTIVITIES
In the bitumen sector, The Cyrus Group of Companies is a primary up-lifter and supplier of a wide range of base bitumen including pen and viscosity grades, polymer modified bitumen binders and full range of asphalt pavement products (repair and re-instatement) and construction chemicals, all manufactured and supplied in compliance to International and Country specific Standard Specifications. Cyrus Shipping Services, Cyrus General Trading and Haswell are the companies in charge of physical sourcing, shipping, storage and/or production and selling the full range of petroleum products and especially bitumen and bituminous products all across the region to Government Agencies, corporations and contractors. The experienced and qualified staff of these companies ensures reliable and efficient services to customers for bulk and drummed bitumen and bituminous products as well as containers and general cargo. For that purpose, the Group owns its own fleet of bitumen carriers, with OCIMF SIRE inspection reports, carrying cargoes from the refineries to its dedicated storage capacities through its own jetties and discharge pipelines. Industrial assets for bitumen, polymer modified bitumen and bituminous products supply. In 2013, the CYRUS Group of Companies uplifted over 200,000 MT of bitumen from the Gulf refineries and ports to its storage terminals in the Gulf, Oman and Djibouti, with more than 80 ship voyages. CyTech International was formed nine years ago to deal especially with technologically advanced binders, from manufacturing processes to the development of a comprehensive range of products and systems for his clients of the construction market, based on the highest levels of quality, service and integrity. Over the years, CyTech International has established a leading place in the region as solution provider, handling all aspects of the production and supply from conventional penetration grade bitumen to a full range of performance graded asphalt binders such as Polymer Modified Bitumen and Performance Grade Binders manufactured under ultimate international standards – with ASTM-M-320 specifications Superpave Technology - to lever any aspect of road, highway and airport pavement maintenance and construction. But CyTech expertise also covers emulsions and cutbacks, specialist asphalt and concrete repair systems, joint sealants, crack sealers, polyurethane coatings, epoxide systems, waterproofing and sub-base protection systems and many other solutions. CyTech International works very closely with the Contractors using a dense network of terminals and manufacturing facilities in the MENA region and Africa – UAE, Qatar, Oman, Ethiopia and Djibouti – undergoing the most rigorous of quality and process checks centered on the high standards of ISO 9001-2000 and ISO 14001 protocols. Products and systems supply is organized directly from the terminals and production facilities, in bulk or packaged in drums/buckets. CyTech International manages his own plants or could settle his production facilities at the customer working site for Polymer Modified Bitumen and road specialties for example. CyTech International assets are built with ultimate process technologies and backed by most international reputed suppliers of equipment or base materials. The company has skills and abilities through in house engineering team to manage new building projects all over the region. In particular, CyTech International carries out manufacture of CytoBind Performance Grade Binders using latest technology of high shear rotor-stator mixing system. As all products from CyTech International, polymer modified bitumen are tested in accordance with the project quality inspection plan and for the Performance Grade the standard specifications AASHTO M320 at the Ajman SuperPave compliant binder testing laboratory or a SuperPave compliant laboratory set of the local production plant. Additionally CyTech could arrange an independent verification of the binder quality in an AASHTO accredited third party laboratory in the US. Supported by an intensive on-going program of Development, CyTech also produces products for third party as well as its own branded products and systems which are technically efficient, easy to use and environmentally friendly for a wide range of construction applications.
