KBPC2510 Bridge Rectifier Pinout, Wiring Diagram & Working Principle | AC to DC Conversion

The KBPC2510 bridge rectifier is a high-current, full-wave rectifier designed to convert alternating current (AC) into direct current (DC). Instead of using four separate rectifier diodes, this single package combines all four internally, making power supply circuits simpler, cleaner, and more reliable.

As shown in the image, the bridge rectifier has four terminals. The two terminals marked AC (~) accept the alternating current input. The positive (+) and negative (βˆ’) terminals provide the rectified DC output for powering electronic circuits.

Inside the package, four diodes are connected in a bridge configuration. During the positive half-cycle of the AC waveform, one pair of diodes conducts. During the negative half-cycle, the other pair takes over. This arrangement keeps current flowing through the load in the same direction at all times, producing full-wave rectified DC with better efficiency than a half-wave rectifier.

The bottom schematic illustrates the internal diode bridge connection and current path. This design is widely used in TV repair, SMPS power supplies, battery chargers, audio amplifiers, inverters, industrial equipment, and many other AC-to-DC power conversion applications.
