🌏 From a desalination plant to a blue coastline, every shared path tells a story of greener growth. This chapter of unfolds in the UAE.
💧 POWERCHINA is helping build Dubai’s 180 MIGD Hassyan Seawater Desalination EPC Project, designed to produce around 818,000 m³ of freshwater daily and serve nearly 1.8 million residents upon completion.
🌿 For two consecutive years, the project team and partners have carried out marine awareness activities, coral conservation initiatives and beach cleanups covering around 12,000 m².
Through sustainable water infrastructure and marine protection, POWERCHINA demonstrates its commitment to greener development, shared responsibility and a brighter future along the Belt and Road.

🏆 POWERCHINA’s Hassyan 180 MIGD SWRO Independent Water Project in the UAE won the Gold Award in the “Exceptional Project Ex*****on and Delivery” category at the 2026 International Water Association (IWA) Project Innovation Awards—the company’s first IWA Project Innovation Award.
💧 With a design capacity of 818,000 cubic meters per day, the project is one of the world’s largest SWRO desalination facilities. POWERCHINA worked with ACWA Power and SIDEM to deliver water 75 days ahead of schedule, strengthening Dubai’s water supply security.
🌱 Powered entirely by green electricity, with energy consumption of about 3.21 kWh/m³, the project also integrated marine monitoring, sea turtle protection and mangrove restoration throughout construction.

🌕 In Dubai, UAE, POWERCHINA hosted a Mid-Autumn cultural event themed “Moon Over the Desert, Reunion Through Chinese,” bringing Chinese and international employees and their families together for the festival.
Participants learned simple Chinese words and phrases, explored traditions such as moon-gazing and eating mooncakes, and discovered themes of longing and reunion in classical Chinese poetry. 🥮 They also made mooncakes by hand, bringing Mid-Autumn traditions to life.
🤝 From Chinese phrases to handmade mooncakes, colleagues who work side by side connected through language, food and shared traditions. Under the same moon, the POWERCHINA team in the UAE created another shared memory.

One moon can evoke thoughts of home and connect hearts from afar. 🌕 As the verses of Shui Diao Ge Tou meet the melodies of the , turns to its Serbia chapter this -Autumn Festival.
🎶 In a program co-produced by POWERCHINA and the Confucius Institute at the University of Niš, Chinese and Serbian participants brought classical poetry and guzheng music together. Through this timeless poem about the moon, reunion, and longing across distance, they discovered the emotions at the heart of the Mid-Autumn Festival.
Through poetry and music, POWERCHINA’s Chinese and Serbian colleagues found common ground in a shared cultural experience. 🤝

🌕 A full moon brings people together — and cultures closer. This Mid-Autumn Festival, turns to its UAE chapter.
🥮 At a China-Arab cultural exchange event hosted by POWERCHINA, Chinese and Arab colleagues explored Mid-Autumn traditions through tea, calligraphy, and mooncake-making. As mooncakes took shape in their hands, the spirit of reunion at the heart of the festival came vividly to life.
From a cup of tea to a brushstroke to a mooncake, these cultural experiences brought POWERCHINA colleagues in the UAE closer — adding a new page to the DIARY OF HARMONY. 🤝

🏮 This edition of POWERCHINA in Harmony takes us to Serbia. At a Chinese Culture Showcase hosted in Belgrade by the Confucius Institute at the University of Niš, POWERCHINA’s Serbian colleagues explored Chinese culture through traditional crafts, festive traditions and shared experiences. By taking part together, culture became something to experience firsthand — creating new opportunities for understanding and connection.

🌐 On September 12–13, the 18th BRICS Summit was held in New Delhi, India. With cooperation, connectivity and sustainability in focus, POWERCHINA is turning these ideas into action through projects around the world.
🚆 In the UAE, POWERCHINA is helping build The UAE Etihad Rail Network Package 2F2 Freight Facilities Project, which is set to link industrial and manufacturing centres, logistics hubs and major ports. As part of the UAE and GCC rail networks, it will strengthen freight connectivity, improve regional transport efficiency and reinforce the UAE’s role as a regional freight hub and global logistics centre.

For POWERCHINA employees in the UAE, exploring the country’s long maritime history opens another window into its culture.
The UAE’s deep connection to pearls can be traced back nearly 8,000 years. Over time, pearling became an essential livelihood for coastal communities. Divers would set out on traditional wooden boats and plunge beneath the sea in search of pearl oysters, weaving pearls deeply into local life and shared cultural memory.
Today, pearls are far more than a commodity. They remain a vital part of the UAE’s cultural heritage, kept alive through cultural activities, heritage displays, and other forms of preservation and storytelling.

At a Dragon Boat Festival cultural event in the UAE, POWERCHINA colleagues from China and Pakistan came together to make zongzi, craft sachets and weave five-colored cords, while also exploring Chinese traditions and . Through these hands-on experiences, they discovered more about Chinese traditions and strengthened their friendship.
