Grandweld Shipyards is proud to announce our first collaboration with the esteemed Yusuf bin Ahmed Kanoo Group, marked by the construction of high-performance crew boats tailored to their operational needs.

Last week, we had the honor of welcoming Mr. Ali Abdulla Kanoo and Mr. Fahad Kanoo to our shipyard. The distinguished delegation was warmly received by our General Manager, Mr. Jamal S. Abki, and joined by key members of the Kanoo team, including Mr. Hesham Nass, Mr. John Drinkwater, and Mr. Steve Blackney.

During their visit, our guests were taken on a guided tour of our facilities to observe firsthand the progress and quality behind the ongoing vessel construction. It was a valuable opportunity to showcase the precision, dedication, and innovation that define every Grandweld project.

AM Passion: From Offshore Supply to Well Stimulation Powerhouse

In just under nine months, Grandweld Shipyards turned AM Passion from a standard Platform Supply Vessel into a mission-ready Well Stimulation Vessel for SLB — right here at Dubai Maritime City.

The scope? Over 400 tons of new steel, 50+ mechanical systems, complex piping integrations, heavy-lift operations, new accommodation and control spaces—all delivered under the strictest classification and safety standards.

Grandweld has delivered two Dive Support Vessels to ADNOC Group (ADNOC Logistics &Services), a first of its kind vessel that will be a game changer in offshore diving operations. Learn more about the specs below:

This important contract required high specification catamarans that are uniquely customized to be compact but packed full of specialized diving equipment.

These vessels accommodate seven divers total, meet stringent ADNOC standards and are certified for both IMCA and Hazardous Zone 2 standards.

ADNOC L&S required large deck areas, greater stability and higher speeds; all of which are catered for due to the catamaran hulls. The ADNOC cats will ensure faster mobilization of divers to the field for operations due to their lightweight, aluminum hulls and efficient hull forms that also allow for shallow draft operations.

A Twin Lock Decompression Chamber for up to 3 divers will enable extended, highly safe diving operations are carried out in remote areas with this incredible vessel.
