Around the world, many working parents know the challenge: summer holidays are a special time for children, but they can also require a lot of planning and support at home. In Austria, for example, school holidays last nine weeks – a long period to manage alongside everyday work.
That is why, among others, L&R in Austria offered summer childcare in July 2026 at our Vienna and Schönau sites. Colleagues were able to book childcare for their children while the kids enjoyed varied summer days with activities such as visits to the fire brigade, a llama walk, museum trips, playground adventures, arts and crafts, ball games and plenty of time together.
For us, initiatives like this are a very good way to support work-life balance – by helping families where support is often needed most: in everyday life. A big thank you to everyone who helped make this possible and created safe, joyful and memorable summer days for the children.
