This Arab Environment Day, we’re highlighting a 53% reduction in our emissions intensity, from 3.60 kgCO₂e/MWh in 2024 to 1.69 kgCO₂e/MWh in 2025.

What does this mean? Lower greenhouse gas emissions for every kWh of clean electricity we generated, while continuing to power businesses with renewable energy.

We were pleased to welcome university interns from Bahrain’s Ministry of Works to explore solar power in action at Armacell's manufacturing facility.

The visit included a closer look at our 1 MWp rooftop solar power plant, delivered through a Solar Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) and operational since January 2024.

Construction is officially underway at the Lion Thorn Solar Park, our latest solar wheeling project.

✅ Commercial operation expected in 2028
✅ ~115 GWh of clean energy expected in Year 1
✅ ~104 190 tonnes of carbon emissions expected to be avoided annually

We were pleased to mark the milestone alongside PowerChina, PPC Africa, POWERX, Nedbank CIB, Maquassi Hills Local Municipality and other project partners.

Another important step in expanding our wheeling portfolio and supporting South Africa’s Just Energy Transition!
