Meet Donald, Superintendent of STRUCTURAL Middle East

Donald is a member of STRUCTURAL Middle East's operations team. He currently works on the expansion project at Dubai Mall.

At the time STRUCTURAL started working at Capital Plaza project, Donald was one of the supervisors who joined the team in 2009. He remembers learning a lot from the American crew brought in to help with the big project.

His leadership skills have allowed him to take on a new role as a Superintendent.

Friendly staff, resourceful managers, and good technical guys are just some of what Donald likes about working in the company.

One of his most memorable projects was when he was sent to Qatar to supervise a fire-damaged repair project in which they had to finish the repair in only 45 days. They had to work longer shifts to keep up with the tight deadline. "Good thing we managed to finish the job on time while maintaining our company's quality and safety standards", Donald added.

When not at work, he enjoys fishing and watching movies

Meet Nadine, Project Manager of STRUCTURAL Middle East, who joined our team as Project Engineer in 2014. Her first project was an investigation job in a grain transfer facility in Sharjah.

Nadine finished her Project Engineer Career Development (PECD) Program at a fast pace - including her project rotation in the US. In just a few years, she has taken the role as a Project Manager - one of STRUCTURAL's youngest PM's.

Her ability to handle even the toughest projects despite her just being a fresh college graduate a few years back is admired by her colleagues and clients.

When asked what was her most unforgettable experience while working at STRUCTURAL, "There are too many, but it was mainly the really late nights we used to spend as a whole team at the start of the [Fire-damaged tower repair project in Dubai]. They were filled with laughter and jokes even though we were extremely stressed to get the project running.", she replied.

Nadine has started sailing classes and she loves to travel whenever she gets the chance.

Meet Aly Harb, General Superintendent of STRUCTURAL Middle East.

He joined STRUCTURAL in 2011 as a Superintendent and was assigned to his first project at a Cement Silo in Fujairah in which STRUCTURAL performed investigation and strengthening works.

Working at Jaida Flyover Repair and Strengthening Project in Qatar was one of his most unforgettable memories in the company. "It was the first project for me out of Dubai. The challenging part was that it was a live operating flyover and part of our job was to deal with the traffic. Then we have to finish it on time without any delay.", says Ali.

At the moment, Ali is assigned at a Residential Development Strengthening Project in Yas Island, Abu Dhabi.

Outside of work, Ali Harb enjoys going to the gym, playing football and ping pong.

Meet Narayan, Project Manager of STRUCTURAL Middle East.

Naraen is a member of STRUCTURAL Middle East's operations team. He is currently working on the expansion project at Dubai Mall.

He joined STRUCTURAL in 2009 as a Site Engineer. He was soon inducted into Project Engineer Career Development (PECD) Program and graduated in 2016 to take on a position as Project Manager. He has worked on numerous projects including the expansion of Burjaman Mall, repair of Kuwait University and strengthening of the Dubai Airport expansion.

One of his most memorable experiences in STRUCTURAL was during his project rotation in the US branches where he was exposed to unique projects and environment. He was assigned to 2 projects in Washington DC - both were strengthening works of parking garages.

Aside from his vast experience with CFRP, concrete enlargement, post tension, and cathodic protection works, he is learning and getting exposed with "Piling" works at the Zabeel Expansion project of Dubai mall.

When not at work, he likes watching movies, listening to music and playing cricket with friends.

Meet Rowella, Projects Controller of STRUCTURAL Middle East.

She started as an Admin Officer when she joined STRUCTURAL in 2014. Now, she actively visits job sites, tracking jobs and updating her spreadsheets - aiming to improve overall production.

"As my role changed into a more challenging one, there is a whole lot of room for improvement and learning. Learning new things is what motivates me."

The camaraderie within the organization is what she likes best about working at Structural.

Outside of work, Rowella enjoys baking. She's also active at church, "Every other Friday, I do volunteer work in our church by teaching 2-year-olds. I also like to travel - when an opportunity presents itself, I normally do not think twice about it."

Meet Yasir, Assistant Construction Manager of STRUCTURAL Middle East.

Yasir is a member of STRUCTURAL Middle East's operations team and he's currently working on a Fire-Damaged Repair Project in Dubai.

He joined STRUCTURAL in 2010 as a Site Engineer. After finishing the Project Engineer Career Development (PECD) Program in early 2017, he has then started to take on the role in Construction Management.

Structural's safety culture and the friendly working environment are two of what he really likes best about the company.

Yasir has recently been involved with Structural's key projects in Doha, Qatar which include SIDRA Hospital Fire Damage Repair and Jaida Bridge Repair.

When not at work, Yasir enjoys playing cricket, watching movies, listening to music, and he loves trying different types of food.

Meet Kannan, General Superintendent of STRUCTURAL Middle East.

Kannan is a member of STRUCTURAL Middle East's operations team. He currently works on the expansion project at Dubai Mall.

He started as a Senior Supervisor when he joined STRUCTURAL in 2009 - being a part of the core teams at the time when STRUCTURAL was first launched in the Middle East.

Kannan mostly enjoys working on projects which involve concrete enlargements and CFRP installations.

Some of the key projects he has been involved with include:
Carpark Building Strengthening in Sharjah, Kuwait University Fire Damage Repair, and Repair of Wadi Mushaireb Bridge in Qatar.

When not at work, he enjoys watching movies and playing cricket with his family.
