ECC Group and Select Group came together for an exciting Padel-friendly tournament held at the Peninsula Plot B Padel Courts, located within the iconic waterfront community of Peninsula in Business Bay.

Set against the vibrant backdrop of one of Dubai’s most dynamic urban destinations, the event combined sport, energy, and collaboration in a truly unique setting. The world-class waterfront community living environment added a distinctive charm to the experience, making the matches even more memorable.

The initiative carried a meaningful purpose as “Padel for Good,” where both groups contributed to community support. Household items, clothing, books, and essential goods were collected and donated to support underprivileged families through Beit Al Khair’s Community Program. The tournament reflected strong camaraderie and a shared commitment to giving back—bringing both organisations in a spirit of healthy competition, connection, and meaningful social impact.

Mr. Gabriel Hebert, Business Development Manager at Engineering Contracting Company (ECC Contracting), participated as a speaker at the Value Engineering Summit 2026, presenting on “Smart Contracting – Enhancing Competitiveness in a Highly Demanding Market.”

His session explored how the construction sector across the UAE and wider Gulf region is rapidly evolving in response to increasing regulatory demands and rising client expectations for faster delivery, cost efficiency, and superior quality standards—driving the need for smarter, more adaptive contracting approaches.

He highlighted how competitiveness can be strengthened through continuous innovation across the project lifecycle, from pre-contract stages including design optimization, pricing strategies, and value engineering, to post-contract ex*****on focused on time, cost, quality, and environmental performance. Through these insights, he reinforced ECC Contracting’s commitment to driving smarter construction practices and delivering high-performance projects in an increasingly demanding market.

Engineering Contracting Company (ECC Contracting) leadership and senior management team visited DesertBoard’s facility in KEZAD, Abu Dhabi, to explore advancements in sustainable construction materials and manufacturing innovation.

The visit offered firsthand insight into Palm Strand Board (PSB®), the region’s most sustainable building material produced from upcycled palm fronds. The team were briefed on the processes of how raw materials are sourced, processed and refined, strand formation and drying, high-pressure mat forming and hot pressing, and precision finishing for use across construction, interior fit-out, events, and landscape applications.

PSB® boards are already being utilized across ECC Contracting’s landmark portfolio, including the award-winning Peninsula Plot B, Dubai Creek Harbour Phases 3, 4 & 5, Seagate, Kempinski Residences, Shams Townhouses, and other key developments, reflecting ECC Contracting’s continued integration of sustainable materials into large-scale delivery.

At Engineering Contracting Company (ECC), the health and safety of our workforce remain central to every project we deliver.

On the Peninsula Plot Z project in Business Bay, developed by Select Global Development, we are proud to have achieved 7 million safe man-hours without a Lost Time Injury (LTI). This important milestone reflects the team’s unwavering commitment to maintaining the highest safety standards across a complex design and build scope comprising a basement, ground floor, and two towers rising to 45 and 34 floors, supported by four common podium levels.

Achieved over a one-year period from 20 February 2025, with an average workforce of approximately 1,187 personnel, this accomplishment stands as a testament to the dedication of our project team and HSE leadership. Through the consistent implementation of robust HSE practices—including regular training sessions, toolbox talks, safety inspections, and audits—the team has fostered a proactive and safety-first culture on site.

We proudly celebrate this milestone with our people, partners, and clients, and extend our appreciation to everyone who contributed to making safety a shared responsibility.

The Bridge District at Dubai Creek Harbour is progressing at a steady pace, as construction advances across seven landmark residential towers. This large-scale development reflects Emaar’s vision of a dynamic waterfront community, seamlessly integrating contemporary living with urban sophistication.

Engineering Contracting Company (ECC Contracting) has been awarded the design and build of all seven towers—Palace Residences, Arlo, Oria, Altus, Valo, Aeon, and Address Residences—spanning a total built-up area of 446,054 m². Oria, Altus, Valo, and Aeon have reached 61% completion, while Arlo stands at 31%, Address Residences at 27%, and Palace Residences Creek Blue at 15%—marking significant milestones across the development.

Each tower is envisioned to deliver elevated urban living, combining refined architectural design with thoughtfully planned spaces—reinforcing ECC Contracting’s continued role in shaping transformative developments across Dubai.
