The diesel day tank for the firefighting pump required a precise, failure-proof level monitoring solution. The system needed to:
• Convert the raw resistance signal from a potentiometer sensor into a standard industrial signal.
• Maintain reliable performance despite vibration from pump starts and high UAE ambient temperatures.
• Provide a fail-safe output so that sensor or wiring failures are immediately detected instead of indicating a false normal fuel level.

The PR electronics 5343A was installed inside the firefighting building's local control panel, where it converts the variable resistance signal from the diesel day tank float sensor into a high-accuracy, linearized 4–20 mA current loop. With high galvanic isolation, the transmitter ensures immunity to electromagnetic interference (EMI) generated by large pump motors. Mounted on a DIN rail enclosure, it remains isolated from fuel fumes while allowing convenient maintenance access.
