Engaging with the community shaping the future of sustainable construction at the workshop “Towards Enhanced Structures and Sustainable Construction: FRP Solutions for Strengthening, Rehabilitation, and Internal Reinforcement” at The American University of Sharjah, UAE, brought new ideas to life.

Engineers, researchers, and innovators came together to exchange insights and explore FRP technologies driving the evolution of resilient infrastructure.

A highlight was a session on BFRP reinforcement, delving into its durability, technical applications, and alignment with ACI 440.11 standards. The takeaway was clear: BFRP enhances structures rather than replacing them, offering corrosion-resistant solutions for demanding environments.

Two days of collaboration, discussion, and forward-thinking perspectives reinforced the collective commitment to advancing long-lasting, corrosion-free reinforcement solutions across the region.

We were honored to participate alongside our Chairman, H.E. Eng. Mohamed Ahmed bin Abdul Aziz Al Shihhi, Dr. Taha Al-Khawaldeh, GM of ARMICO–FJR and GM of ABFC, and our CEO Mr. Valery Hurynovich. استقبلت الشركة العربية لألياف البازلت وفدًا عربيًا رفيع المستوى برئاسة سعادة المهندس علي محمد قاسم، المدير العام لمؤسسة الفجيرة للموارد الطبيعية، وضمّ نخبة من الشخصيات البارزة في القطاع، من بينهم سعادة المهندس عادل صقر الصقر، المدير العام للمنظمة العربية للتنمية الصناعية والتقييس والتعدين، وسعادة المهندس أحمد فقيه، وكيل وزارة الصناعة والثروة المعدنية في المملكة العربية السعودية، إلى جانب ممثلين عن عدد من الوزارات والمؤسسات والشركات العربية العاملة في مجالات التعدين والصناعات المرتبطة به.
وخلال الزيارة، أكد سعادة المهندس علي قاسم والسيد طه الخوالدة، مدير عام الشركة العربية للتعدين – الفجيرة ومدير عام الشركة العربية لألياف البازلت، أهمية تعزيز التعاون العربي في مجالات التعدين والتصنيع المستدام، ودعم مسيرة التحول نحو صناعات خضراء مبتكرة تواكب رؤية الإمارات الصناعية 2031.
