We are looking for a skilled and motivated Senior Instrument Operation Technician to join our team and contribute to the safe and efficient operation of our gas distribution network – Full-Time Contract.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and oversee the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, calibration, and validation of instrumentation and control systems.
• Ensure safe and uninterrupted gas supply through proactive monitoring and timely intervention.
• Perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on field instruments, SCADA systems, PLCs, RTUs, analyzers, and control valves.
• Manage and service final control elements, including all types of valves, fuel gas control systems, and turbine controls.
• Troubleshoot and maintain RTU communication systems (Modbus, DNP3, IEC 60870-5-104, and Ethernet/IP).
• Conduct calibration of custody transfer meters and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior technicians, ensuring adherence to operational procedures.
• Monitor and control the gas distribution network using SCADA systems, ensuring operational integrity.
• Adhere to HSE regulations, risk assessments, and Permit-to-Work (PTW) procedures.
• Support emergency response operations and ensure compliance with audits and quality standards.
Key Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Instrument Engineering or equivalent.
• 10-12 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry, preferably with multi-skilled expertise in operations and instrumentation.
• Hands-on experience with Online GC, HIMA PLC, Allen Bradley, and Kingfisher PLC is preferred.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a commitment to safety and compliance.
• Proficiency in CMMS usage and system optimization.
