Loading Stevin Rock’s 0.5 - 2.0 tonne armour rock for a major development project in Bangladesh has resumed at Saqr Port in Ras Al Khaimah with specially designed ship grabs onto a 40,000 dwt bulk carrier. Systematic watering of the working areas is conducted to mitigate dust emission, as seen in the photo.

STEVIN ROCK'S TYRE PLANT
This state of the art plant located at Khor Khuwair is used to retread tyres for the Company's vehicles and mobile equipment with over 1,800 tyres of various types and dimensions retreaded in 2018, not only reducing operating costs and improving efficiency but also reducing significantly the carbon footprint of Stevin Rock's operations.
For example retreading a 100 ton haul truck tyre saves around 108 litres of oil against getting a new tyre, allowing a 40% reduction in CO2 emissions. Stevin Rock retreaded 281 such tyres in 2018 saving over 30,000 litres of oil and reducing the Company's CO2 in excess of 900 tonnes.
