We enter the New Year 2020 in a few days. While we all will welcome the New Year with celebrations and happiness, it also means we will have to get used to writing the new date format. And in the entire year of 2020, one must write the dates in full format, rather than just the last two numbers of the "year". For example, if you want to write January 13, 2020, write the full date, 13/01/2020 instead of 13/01/20. Because with the year of 2020, anyone can tamper with the dates, adding last two digits to it. So 13/01/20 can become anything between 13/01/2000 to 13/01/2099! In the New Year, start writing the dates as /2020 instead of /20.
You will have to be careful in every document that you fill up and sign on. These could be government scheme documents, any form filling for the bank, cheques, bank deposit slips, application forms or every kind. Be it applying for a college or to make a passport, you need to be careful on every document that you sign in the entire year of 2020. We have seen numerous cases of frauds made with forging documents. If someone can create fake identities, changing dates becomes very easier in 2020, because you have written only just two numbers of the year.
