In 1945, during the Yalta Conference, Stalin treated Churchill to a glass of Armenian brandy. Churchill loved it so much that he asked Stalin to send him a crate every month. The maker of this brandy, Margar Sedrakyan, had been exiled to Odessa at the time. After learning this, Stalin ordered his release and reinstated him to his former position. It can be said that Churchill and Armenian brandy saved his life.
