Induve SA

Induve SA Induve SA is an industrial complex specialised in corn and wheat milling. Since then Angola has been heavily dependent on commercial imports.

Induve has a long, rich heritage, starting with CUF group of Portugal in 1957 as an edible oil refinery, using its byproducts in the production of animal feed and soap. During the long civil war, which began in 1975 after Angola’s independence from Portugal, the agricultural industry severely deteriorated and Angola's industrial sector started operating at a fraction of prewar levels. Despite such

difficulties of the industrial sector, Induve continued to remain active. At the end of the war in 2002, Angola opened its doors to foreign investment giving New African Frontiers SA (NAF) an opportunity to become part of Angola’s campaign against hunger and poverty. NAF made a series of investments to prepare Induve for this new era of development transforming the factory into a state-of-the-art facility with the latest machinery and technology. In 2004 Induve underwent the first phase of reconstruction, installing a corn mill for the production of flour. It was the first mill of its kind in Angola producing corn flour on an industrial scale with a milling capacity of 120,000 MT per year. In 2014 Induve started construction of a wheat flour mill with a capacity of 210,000 MT per year. This is expected to be completed beginning 2016.
