Carbon boom for a Brazilian 60ft sailing yacht 🇧🇷

Laminated with carbon prepreg and PVC foam core on the side faces, achieving a strong and lightweight structure.

It also features CNC-machined stainless steel and aluminum fittings, designed to integrate cleanly and handle high loads.

Buenos Aires- Río de Janeiro Ocean Regatta 2026!

Congrats to all our clients who took part in the 28th edition of the Buenos Aires–Rio de Janeiro Ocean Regatta — and especially to the Double Black crew for winning this iconic race.

Offshore racing at full power!

The Frers 45 Fuga pushing hard during the Buenos Aires – Rio de Janeiro 2026 offshore race.

For this project, CLC Composites built a new carbon boom and carbon bowsprit, and carried out a complete mast refit, delivering the strength, precision and reliability required for demanding offshore racing.

This new carbon bowsprit was custom-built for Gaucho, the most iconic racing yacht in Argentina. Originally launched as the first Matador, this Soto Acebal design has been dominating the Río de la Plata for over 25 years, racing every single season without pause.

Crafted with pre-preg carbon fiber, CNC-machined fittings, and a refined paint finish, this bowsprit blends modern performance with the legacy of a legend.
