The digital twin behind a 37.5 m protection screen at Atlassian Central in Sydney. 🚀

At 39 storeys, Atlassian Central, co-owned by Dexus and Atlassian, in the heart of Sydney is the world's tallest hybrid timber commercial building. Delivered by Built, in joint venture with Obayashi Corporation, the tower combines timber, steel and concrete in a complex high-rise structure.

Before our 37.5 metre Protection screen Xclimb 60 was installed on site, it had already been fully developed in a detailed digital model. For this project, Doka delivered a complete LOD 400 BIM model containing all the details necessary for formwork assembly, digitally defining every interface and component of the Xclimb 60 solution.

This level of detail enabled the climbing sequence, the interaction with the hybrid timber structure and the spatial constraints of the dense urban environment to be coordinated long before construction began. With the digital twin, our customer gained full clarity on how the system would perform on site, enabling clash-free planning and supporting precise logistics.

The project demonstrates once again how we put ourselves in others' shoes to create understanding and trust.

Vier Hochhauskerne termingerecht mit Doka Slipform realisiert 🦾

Im Münchner Werksviertel entsteht mit LOVT Vision ein gemischt genutzter Gebäudekomplex in Holz-Hybridbauweise. Vier Betonkerne bilden die Tragstruktur für die späteren Holzbaugeschosse. Ihre Herstellung musste unter einem straffen Zeitplan erfolgen – in beengter Innenstadtlage, während mehrere Arbeiten parallel voranschritten. Das verlangte eine präzise und verlässliche Koordination aller Abläufe.

Um das Timing zu halten, setzte die Markgraf Bauunternehmung auf Gleitbauweise – partnerschaftlich umgesetzt mit Doka und der Gusinac Bau GmbH. Dank sorgfältiger Vorbereitung und eng geführten Abläufen gelang mit Doka Slipform ein zügiger Gleitprozess, bei dem alle Arbeitsschritte sauber ineinandergreifen konnten. Unterstützt durch die digitale Dokumentation in Site Docu and Analytics blieb der Fortschritt jederzeit transparent. Künftig wird Site Docu and Analytics auch mit Doka 360 verknüpft – der ersten Plattform, die den gesamten Schalungsprozess digitalisiert.

Mit einer durchschnittlichen Gleitleistung von rund 2,30 Metern pro Tag wurde jeder der vier Kerne in etwa 14 Gleittagen realisiert – und der Bauzeitplan eingehalten.

Projekte wie diese zeigen, wie entscheidend Zusammenarbeit auf der Baustelle ist. Gerade in eng getakteten Bauphasen braucht es Partner, die Verantwortung übernehmen und Unterstützung genau dort einbringen, wo sie benötigt wird. Und genau das macht Doka aus: Wir sind da, wenn man uns braucht.

37.5 metres of protection screen: Securing nine levels at once at the world's tallest hybrid timber commercial building. 🚀

At 39 storeys, Atlassian Central, co-owned by Dexus and Atlassian, in Sydney is the world's tallest hybrid timber commercial building. Working closely with Built, in joint venture with Obayashi Corporation, and BKH Group, Doka developed a tailored high-rise protection concept aligned with the building's hybrid structure of timber, steel and concrete. The solution addresses demanding requirements for edge protection, wind loads and construction sequencing. 🏗️

At the core of the concept is the Protection screen Xclimb 60, designed to protect nine levels simultaneously. The system adapts to the tower's changing façade geometry, accommodates transitions between structural materials and provides a protected working environment for timber installation.

This approach reflects our commitment to top performance in everything we do, supporting reliable progress on an ambitious hybrid high-rise project. ✨

28 floors. Tight cycle times. Complex geometry. 🚀

For this new tower in Midtown Manhattan, ECD NY and New Leaf Development LLC partnered with Doka early in the process to develop a tailored formwork concept with mockups and detailed weekly coordination.

The Super Climber SCP supports fast core construction, while Staxo 100, Top 50 and the SuperFlex Garage Beam System provide adaptable solutions for slabs and exposed beams. 🏗️

How do you form 6-metre-high walls in a confined space without crane support? 🏗️

At the City of Calgary Composting Facility Expansion, construction had reached one of its most demanding phases: forming the reinforced lower walls of the digester building - directly beneath and around the installed steel drums.

Working closely with Maple-Nason Chinook, Doka’s engineering and site teams supported the ex*****on using the aluminium framed formwork DokaXlight. Fully handset, the system enabled precise placement within the confined layout and for pour heights of up to 6 metres. ⬆️

The dense reinforcement, varying tie lengths, and waterproof tie requirements near the drums made this phase particularly demanding. With no option for ganged formwork and restricted crane access, each panel was positioned manually - supported by the lightweight and modular design of the system. 🚀

This phase highlighted how close collaboration and the right formwork solution supported progress - because when it really matters, our solutions make it work. ✨

A lightweight and adaptable wall forming solution for the construction of a pumping station in Ontario, Canada. 🏗️

As part of the Yarmouth Yards Industrial Park project, a new sanitary pumping station is taking shape in St. Thomas, Ontario. The structure plays a central role in collecting and transporting wastewater from the industrial park to the municipal sewer system.

Doka Canada is pleased to support 3MC Construction Inc. with an approach tailored to the station’s structural and installation requirements. Framed formwork Frami S Xlife provides a lightweight and adaptable wall forming solution, while Dokaply MDO and water stops support tie sealing in concrete structures exposed to water. 💧

For smooth ex*****on, Doka Technical Services worked closely with the project team on planning the layout, rebar, and pipe penetrations. This close collaboration reflects that we don’t leave our customers hanging, supporting site teams as construction processes move forward.

How a residential complex in Prague is formed fast and efficiently. 🚀

In Prague-Štěrboholy, construction of a residential complex under the responsibility of PORR Česko a Slovensko is underway. For the structural works, the team relies on formwork and shoring solutions from Doka Čzechia to support efficient workflows and safe ex*****on on site. 🏗️

For slab construction, Dokaflex timber-beam floor formwork, a fast and versatile hand-set system, is in use. In areas with increased loads and heights - such as balconies - the load-bearing tower Staxo 100 provides the required shoring capacity for fast and safe assembly. Vertical structures are formed using framed formwork Framax Xlife plus, enabling easy handling thanks to integrated handles. Because when it really matters, our solutions make it work. ✨
