Introducing our latest project in Switzerland: HPP Turbach!

We are thrilled to officially present our newly completed small hydropower plant in Gstaad.

This facility is a fantastic example of smart engineering tailored for a tight municipal area. To meet strict urban planning and environmental standards right next to municipal infrastructure, we implemented a vertical 6-nozzle Pelton turbine.
This layout allowed us to minimize the powerhouse footprint while delivering impressive performance:

🔹 2,717 kW installed capacity

🔹 201.95 m net head

🔹 ~7.3 GWh of clean energy annually for approx. 1,400 households

We are incredibly proud to have delivered this complete "water-to-wire" solution for Kraftwerk Turbach AG (a joint project of aventron AG and BKW Energie AG), proving that high-performance technology and close municipal integration can work in perfect synergy.

Greetings from Switzerland! 👋

Our team has just finalized the commissioning of HPP Turbach in Gstaad. The site looks incredible, and it was a pleasure working on this facility for Kraftwerk Turbach AG – a joint project of aventron AG and BKW AG. We can’t wait to share the final results with you.

We are incredibly proud of the hard work our engineers put into this facility. It is always a great feeling to see a project cross the finish line and start delivering clean energy.

We are currently wrapping up the final details for our website. Stay tuned for next week's full blog post, where we will bring you a closer look inside the facility and plenty of photos! 🩵

Back in Austria!
Two days in Medellín at the Big Small Hydro just flew by.

Huge thanks to everyone who stopped by our stand or joined us for a chat. It was fantastic to reconnect with old friends and meet so many new industry peers. The exchange of ideas was incredibly inspiring, and the energy was great!

Energy, history, and a bit of healthy competition! ⚡⚽

Our team spent a fantastic Friday exploring the intersection of industrial heritage and fun. We started the day with a guided tour of the stunning Steyrdurchbruch power plant, an architectural gem where history meets sustainable energy.

After a great lunch, we headed to the soccer park for some football golf. It was the perfect way to recharge, enjoy the outdoors, and crown our champions! We wrapped up the day with a victory celebration and some excellent food.

Huge thanks to everyone for making this day so memorable. Team spirit at its finest!
