This week, Mario Marinov spent a morning on-site with a client whose deliveries had started arriving in poorer condition. Outside temperature close to 40 °C, plus the heat inside a delivery vehicle over the course of a day.
First finding: the equipment was sound. The insulated boxes and cool packs were doing exactly what they are built to do.
The cause sat one step earlier. Logistics was handing the packing team oversized boxes, even though the right sizes were in stock. From a procurement view, a box is a box. At the packing table, dimension is decisive: empty space in an insulated box means weaker thermal stability and less protection in transit. In mild weather, that gap stays invisible. At 40 °C, it shows up at the customer's door.
So the fix wasn't new equipment. It was a walkthrough: which box suits which quantity, how cool packs are properly prepared, and why that knowledge has to reach the person who physically packs the shipment. A cold chain is only as strong as its last preparation step.
If your summer deliveries are arriving warmer than they should, look at the handoffs before you look at the equipment. And if you want a second pair of eyes on-site, that is part of what we do. https://www.supaso.eu/kontakt
